In the current society,Internet technology has become inseparable from our lives and penetrates into every corner of our lives.Against this background,online shopping is also becoming more common.But at the same time,consumers have higher requirements for payment methods,and traditional payment methods can no longer meet the needs of consumers in the new era.In the context of this era,third-party payment has become a social hotspot in just over a decade,meeting consumer demand for fast and secure payment methods.In recent years,since the first batch of payment licenses issued by the central bank since 2011,third-party payments have not only been satisfied with becoming a RMB transfer platform,they have also been deeply engaged in business innovation and expanded their business scope accordingly.By 2020,third-party mobile payments will cover large,medium,and small cities in China.It is not only popular among men,women,and children,but also contributes significantly to new crown pneumonia.Third-party payment has become one of the core of the financial services industry and can continue to lead the emergence of new trends.At present,research on the profit model of third-party payment has the significance of the times and scientific research.As a leader in the payment industry,Alipay is also typical of third-party payment in China;although WeChat payment didn’t start early.However,there are a large number of users,based on WeChat,and a wide audience;so it is of great significance to treat both as the representative objects of third-party payment.This article compares the two,summarizes the advantages of the two profit models,and the current bottlenecks in development.From this,we can find out the coexistence problems of the third-party payment industry,and find the advantages of the two in the process of becoming larger and stronger.On the basis of coexistence of feasibility and science,make recommendations for the third-party payment industry.This article starts with the research background,research significance,and research methods of the selected topic,combing the relevant literature of third-party payment platforms in recent years,and focusing on the relevant theories of third-party payment and profit models.Secondly,in the analysis of Alipay’s profit model,this article focuses on the in-depth analysis of Alipay’s profit model from multiple aspects such as advertising costs,service fees,and fee income.In the process of analysis,the characteristics and advantages and disadvantages of this profit model are summarized.Again,this article also chooses the WeChat payment platform for research,and divides its profit points into game fees,service fees,and value-added services.From this,the characteristics and advantages and disadvantages of the WeChat payment profit model are introduced.After that,the profit models of Alipay and WeChat Pay were compared and studied,and the similarities and differences and the reasons were summarized.Finally,based on the previous theoretical combing,case analysis,comparative analysis,etc.,the conclusion of the study is drawn,and optimization suggestions are proposed for the two and their third-party payment industries.
