With the development of Chinese e-commerce economy and the increase of online shopping users,the after-sales service of home appliances and furnishings meets a fast growth demand with the widely distributed clients.However,due to the limited resources of the manufacturers and diverse requirements of the clients,private maintenance workers could hardly meet the needs of the market with their personal connections.Therefore,Fujian Shifubang Technology Enterprise,an after-sales service platform company,welcomes a great opportunity under such an unmatched bilateral market.Shifubang,by creating a four-sided market of maintenance workers,manufacturers,sellers and end users,perfectly meets the needs of after-sale market and constructs a win-win platform model for multilateral groups.This thesis,mainly adopting the methods of academic documents study,on-field interviews and referring to relevant theories,discusses the status,platform model elements and problems of the Shifubang platform model.Shifubang platform currently has the following problems as: not obtaining demanded economy scale on the samesided network effect,not forming a virtuous circle on the cross-edge network effect,low user group stickiness and uneven profit structure.To solve the above questions,this paper raised some optimization solutions based on the environment and competitors analyst: firstly,to stimulate the positive effects of the network by making encouraging subsidy policies,absorbing well-known users,and establishing a community-based management mechanism.Secondly,to promote clients’ value,promote interactions of core clients and better match the demand and supply capabilities.Thirdly,to increase user conversion costs and stickiness by shaping a sense of belonging,improving the mechanism reputation and investing in hardware equipment.Fourthly,to enrich profit sources by tapping the value of stock data,expanding new business and cross-border alliances.Then an analysis will be made between the platform modes before and after optimization on the business model canvas method,so as to demonstrate the validity and feasibility of the optimization.Finally,in order to ensure the smooth implementation,the following things need further attention: establishing a resource database,improving the management system,introducing and reserving talents,strengthening maintenance worker training and strengthening funds.Through the optimization study of the Shifubang model,this thesis would not only benefits Shifubang to optimize its existing business model and improve its platform competitiveness,but also serve as an example to provide some reference for those enterprises which are creating or optimizing their platform.
