Research On The Estimation Method Of The National Average Price Of The International Comparative Specification

In international comparison,in order to obtain an international status evaluation that matches the strength of each economy,it is necessary to obtain reasonable currency purchasing power parity.Among them,the national average price of standard products is the cornerstone of purchasing power parity calculation,and the study of its calculation method is of great significance.Geographical span,consumption habits,and economic level and other factors of the China lead to differences in regional price levels.It is particularly difficult to correctly calculate the national average price.Therefore,it is necessary to analyze and improve the method for calculating the national average price of internationally-specified products.It takes the national average price of standard products as the research object,systematically sorts out the theoretical basis and methods of the national average price of standard products,analyzes the shortcomings of existing methods,and improves on the basis of existing methods.And considering Regional similarity,construct a new measurement method-the multi-reference area shortest path method.The national average price measurement method of the standard products is applied at the domestic level to obtain the spatial adjustment factor of each region,and then the average national price of the standard products is obtained,and the results of different methods are analyzed.The research content is as follows: Chapter 1 is an introduction,mainly including research background,research significance,research status,system arrangement and innovation.The chapter 2 sorts out the theoretical basis of the national average price of standard products,including national economic accounting theory,purchasing power parity theory and price index theory.The chapter 3 focuses on the theoretical analysis of the national average price measurement method of international comparison project specifications.Including spatial adjustment factor method of the EU international comparison project,weighted average method of the World Bank,and analyzes the shortcomings of these two methods.Based on the spatial adjustment factor method,the measurement of regional similarity is introduced,and a new measurement method,the multi-reference area shortest path method is constructed.And the original spatial adjustment factor is revised according to the regional similarity matrix.Chapter 4 is the empirical part of the estimation method of the national average price of standard products.The calculation method of chapter 3 is used for trial calculation and analysis of Chinese price data.First of all,the regional purchasing power parity is measured,the EU international comparison project recommended method is used to calculate price data of the China.The food category is used as an example to calculate the regional basic classification space adjustment factor,and the regional price level difference analysis is performed.And the multi-reference area shortest path method is used to measure the regional purchasing power parity;then the effectiveness of the regional purchasing power parity measurement results is analyzed.Finally,the results are used to obtain the national average price of the specification products,and the price characteristics of different methods are analyzed.Chapter 5 is the conclusion part,focusing on summarizing the calculation method and conclusions of the national average price of standard products,as well as the existing deficiencies and future research directions.The conclusions are as follows: First,for the national average price measurement method recommended by the European Union,the spatial adjustment factor can be used to adjust the price difference between regions.And it is found that the national average price obtained after the adjustment of the spatial adjustment factor is greater than the simple arithmetic average.Second,the multi-reference area shortest path method has two advantages: it eliminates the influence of the starting area on the judgment of regional similarity,and it can measure regional purchasing power parity based on the regional similarity.It proves that the method is relatively superior in theory and practice.It is closer to reality,and the price obtained by this method is lower than the national average price of the standard product obtained by the spatial adjustment factor of the GEKS method.Third,it uses spatial statistical indicators as a distance matrix to measure regional similarity.The empirical results show that the results of the multi-reference area shortest path method under spatial statistical indicators are superior to the LPS distance indicators.
