Throughout 2019,China's economy and the global economic growth show a synchronous slowdown, and the increase of macroeconomic downward pressure will have a certain impact on the steady development of the property and insurance industry. So 2019 is a year of reckoning for insurers. On the whole, the overall quality of the staff still needs to be improved, leading talents and top-notch talents in the industry are still in short supply, which to some extent limits the pace of the transformation of the development momentum of the company and is not conducive to the continuous optimization of profitability. Therefore, the increasingly prominent manpower shortage board becomes one of the problems that the insurance companies need to solve urgently. In the development process of property insurance companies, human capital plays an irreplaceable role in the company's core competitiveness and sustainable development. Therefore, this paper mainly explores the impact of human capital stock and human capital structure on business performance of property insurance companies.Due to the particularity of the insurance industry,it is more comprehensive to construct a reasonable and scientific business performance evaluation system for property insurance companies and study the long-term and dynamic impact of human capital and its lagging variables on comprehensive performance score.Taking 44 property insurance companies in China as the research object, this paper,on the basis of constructing the business performance evaluation system, specifically explores the influence of human capital on the business performance level of property insurance companies through the regression of performance score and the regression of secondary indicators under the performance evaluation system. The empirical study found that the improvement of the proportion of master's degree or above had a significant effect on the current business performance level, which gradually disappeared over time.Increasing the proportion of employees with bachelor's degree has a negative effect on the performance of the company in the short term, but it is beneficial to the performance of the company in the long term. The proportion of employees under 35 years old has no significant influence on the overall performance of the company. The conclusion of this study can provide some reference for property insurance companies to make investment decisions on human capital and optimize the structure of human capital,so as to promote human capital to play its maximum effect.
