Research On The Effects Of International Tourism Island Destination Strategy On Foreign Trade In Hainan Province

On January 4,2010,after eight years of academic exploration and work deployment,the State Council of China promulgated a document which represent the "International Tourism Island" policy was officially launched.The Policy is committed to putting Hainan on to the world stage.In this policy,the decision makers not only emphasize the government 's emphasis on tourism in Hainan Province,but also propose to strengthen other industry and make the economic of Hainan go better stability.In this article,we took Hainan Province as the research object.Firstly we made a qualitative analysis to study the impact mechanism and the effect of the introduction of Hainan Province's international tourism island policy on Hainan's foreign trade industry.The study concluded that the introduction of international tourism island policy comes from the following seven paths to influence the total import and export volume of Hainan Province,which are capital agglomeration,increased consumers,influx of talents,technological progress,improved transportation facilities,convenient information circulation and reduced system costs.Then we did quantitative analysis and use empirical methods of econometrics to process the data of tourism revenue,added value of the tertiary industry,the number of urban employed population,and the average salary of urban employees from 2002 to 2018,in 31 provinces and municipalities across the country.By comparing Hainan's actual foreign trade data and the synthetic data,the specific impact of the policy on Hainan's foreign trade industry is measured.It is concluded that the total import and export of Hainan Province is significantly positive by the international tourism island Impact,but the impact showed a trend of weakening in 2015-2018.Finally,we made the conclusions of the qualitative and quantitative analysis together,and took some development suggestions to Hainan provide.It is proposed that policymakers continue to attach importance to ecology,increase talent Introduce efforts,increase the number of trading partners,upgrade the industrial structure,encourage and reasonably guide consumption,and further tap the endogenous power of foreign trade,etc.If we take all the measures above in the future,then the foreign trade industry of Hainan province will be better and better,so that Hainan will become an international city.
