As the core of global trade,manufacture has driven the development of world trade.With the strengthening of the trade association of all countries,the production stage of the manufacture is continuously refined in different countries and regions,and the production chain is gradually lengthened,and the international specialization of the global manufacture is further deepened.Based on the framework of total trade accounting,this paper decomposes the export scale of manufacture of 42 countries in the world from 2000 to 2014,calculates its embedded position of the GVC and constructs a global manufacture trade network that can reflect the real trade scale.In order to explore the relationship between the characteristics of a country's global manufacture trade network and its GVC embedded position of manufacture,we build an empirical model,analysis the regression and has a group test.It is found that:(1)The international specialization in the manufacture is improved as a whole.The cross-border production phase is becoming more complicated.The trade profits made by China's manufacture are growing at a faster rate,and its embedded position of GVC is low and rising significantly.The RDV in the USA is high,its GVC embedded position is far higher than that of China.The development of the Japanese industrial intermediates is increased rapidly,its GVC embedded position showed a downward trend but still in a higher position.(2)The global manufacture trade network is becoming more closely.Germany and the USA have been in the "center" of the network,and it plays an intermediary role in this network.Britain,France,Italy,Japan followed.In recent years,China's network centrality,intensiveness and disparity have increased significantly.(3)The characteristics of a country in the global manufacturing trade network can significantly promote its GVC embedded position of manufacture.For the network centrality,the promotion of out-degree centrality is higher.For the network intensiveness,the promotion of out-strength,in-strength and degree strength is no big difference and is obviously less than network centrality.For the network disparity,the promotion of constraint is higher.(4)Based on the uses of product shows that the network centrality and network intensiveness of final products as well as the network disparity of intermediate products are slightly stronger to the promotion than any other products.Based on R&D of industry shows that: compared with any other industries,the network centrality of low-tech manufacture,the network intensiveness of medium-tech manufacture and the network disparity of high-tech manufacture is stronger to the promotion.Based on the economic development of country,it is found that the network centrality and network disparity of non-developed countries as well as the network intensiveness of developed countries play a stronger role to the promotion.Based on the above conclusions,this paper puts forward corresponding measures on the upgrading of the GVC of China's manufacture from the perspective of product uses,the industry R&D and the country economic development.
