China's economy is operating at a high level and the people's material living standards continue to improve. However, the differences in urban and rural development still exist. As a major agricultural province,Henan,to achieve high-quality development, the three agricultural issues are still the top priority. As the smallest unit of production, farmers explore the relationship between the living conditions and life satisfaction of farmers in traditional rural areas, which enriches the research in the field of farmers' livelihoods and has practical significance for the implementation of rural revitalization strategies. This article first combs the literature on livelihood capital and life satisfaction, puts forward the entry point of the research, clarifies the related concepts, and theoretically analyzes the impact of livelihood capital on life based on the theory of feasible ability and sustainable livelihoods. The impact of satisfaction, which puts forward research hypotheses.Subsequent to construct a livelihood capital and life satisfaction index system, and based on the survey data of 190 sample farmers in Yuzhou City,Henan Province, through a quantitative analysis of the livelihood capital and life satisfaction of the sample farmers, comparative analysis of the livelihood capital of different types of farmers Difference with life satisfaction. Finally, combining existing research and survey findings,a framework of influencing factors of farmers' life satisfaction is constructed, and the factors thataffect life satisfaction are divided into internal factors and external factors. And establish an Ologit model to empirically analyze the effect of livelihood capital on farmers' life satisfaction. The main conclusions are as follows:First, there are differences in the livelihood capital of different types of farmers. From the perspective of overall rural households, among the five types of livelihood capital, rural households have relatively rich social capital and financial capital, while physical capital, human capital, and natural capital are relatively poor. From the perspective of farm household types, the subsistence capital index from high to low is: non-agricultural households,two-part-time households,pure-farmer households, and one-part households.Among them, there are obvious differences in material capital, natural capital, and financial capital among various types of farm households.Capital and human capital are basically maintained at the same level.Second, there are differences in the life satisfaction of different types of farmers. The overall life satisfaction of rural households is relatively high, and the proportion of rural households rated as "relatively satisfied" is the largest, accounting for 44.8%.The evaluation of life satisfaction is concentrated on "average" and "relatively satisfied".From the perspective of the types of farming households, the proportions of households that choose "relatively satisfied" and above are from high to low: non-agricultural households,two-concurrent households, pure farmer households and one-concurrent households. This shows that under the livelihood differentiation, research hypothesis 1 is valid, that is,the higher the degree of part-time employment, the higher the life satisfaction of farmers.Third, livelihood capital has a significant positive impact on farmers' life satisfaction, that is,research hypothesis 2 is established.Among the five types of subsistence capital, human capital, physical capital, financial capital, and social capital index can positively and significantly affect farmers' life satisfaction, that is,the increase in human capital, material capital, financial capital and social capital will improve farmers' life satisfaction.Among them, social capital has the greatest impact on farmers' life satisfaction.Among the specific indicators of subsistence capital, family housing conditions, whether to buy a car, credit opportunities, and trust in people around them,at different significant levels, positively and significantly affect the life satisfaction of farmers.Changes in these indicators are more sensitive. Finally,on the basis of the above research work, this article puts forward the following suggestions to improve farmers' life satisfaction: First, pay attention to the lack of rural educational resources and improve the level of rural compulsory education.Second, attach importance to the large-scale development of agriculture and protect the rights and interests of farmers in land management.Third, broaden the sources of non-agricultural employment income and increase the diversification of farmers' livelihoods.
