A Study On The Development Of A Corporate Social Responsibility Consultancy (CSR) Firm For The Spanish Hotel Market

The main purpose of this study is to evaluate the implementation of a Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR)consulting company specialized in hotels in Spain.The core business of this project will be to offer auditing services and provide recommendations to hotels on how to use CSR to achieve a competitive advantage.However even the Big Four consulting companies would not be sustainable just by offering these services and as such the company will also offer Auditing;Developing CSR plans and strategies;Courses and training;and Contacting suppliers.To implement this project,the study first introduces the background,purpose and significance of the project.It continues by analysing the current market status of CSR as a whole;the Hospitality Industry in Spain;CSR in the Hospitality Industry;the Global Reporting Index;and the Consultancy Sector in Spain.Then,some literature review,key terms,models used and application of models.It continues by doing a market research using primary and secondary sources;with an industry analysis.It introduces the Company with the legal requirements,ownership and information on the company itself.In addition,it develops a marketing plan with key aspects to take into account such as promotion and advertisement;and identification of possible clients.Furthermore,it introduces a financial plan of the expected operations of the company through the first years of operation.To conclude it offers a summary of the results of the investigation with advice and recommendations on anyone performing a similar study.It is very important to understand that this study is to investigate the sustainability of such company;to deepen the knowledge on CSR and its importance in the hotel sector;and to further investigate the consulting industry.
