| Rural tourism can effectively promote the integrated development of primary,secondary and tertiary industries,which plays an important role in improving the production and living environment,driving employment and promoting economic development.In many poverty-stricken areas,the development of rural tourism is regarded as an important way to implement the strategy of poverty alleviation and rural revitalization,and has achieved good economic,social and ecological effects.As the direct and indirect participants of rural tourism,the perception of the effect of Pro-Poor Tourism by rural residents,especially impoverished residents,is an important basis for evaluating and improving the Pro-Poor Tourism in rural areas.This study takes Helong City of Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture as the research object.Based on the theories of community residents’ participation,sustainable development and tourism multiplier effect,the data of questionnaire is analyzed to study the impoverished residents’ perception and demand for the Pro-Poor Tourism in rural areas.What’s more,the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is adopted to measure the effect of the rural tourism-oriented poverty elimination in Helong city.Combined with the practical investigation,the existing problems in the process of rural tourism of poverty-alleviation are analyzed and countermeasures are proposed.Helong city is an ethnic minority area that is abounded with natural and human resources,which lay a foundation for its rural tourism and also help achieve good benefits.According to the statistics of the questionnaire,residents have a clear perception of the positive effects brought by the development of tourism,while their perception of the negative effects is not obvious,indicating that rural tourism increases employment opportunities,promotes local economic development,and improves residents’ living standards as well as the popularity and image of the city.Through the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation,the effect of rural tourism of poverty-alleviation shows “good” in Helong City.By an in-depth analysis of various indicators,it is found that there are still some problems in the process of rural tourism of poverty-alleviation.For example,residents have low awareness of poverty alleviation policies,low level of vocational skills,and weak promoting ability of agricultural products.Besides,both the infrastructure of tourism home-stays and health care services need to be improved in rural areas.In order to solve these problems,it is proposed to strengthen publicity,enhance skills training,develop tourism specialties,improve tourism infrastructure construction and increase rural health care investment. |
