China's agriculture is confronted with deep contradictions and problems in the new era.The fundamental way of agricultural development is to transform the mode of agricultural development, and intensification is an important direction of China's agricultural development in the future.Land reform is the inevitable solution of agricultural modernization in China. In 1984,No.1 central document in China first proposed that "Land should be encouraged to skilled farmers".Since then, farmland transfer has been one of the hot issues of academic and related government departments. And the proportion of area of farmland transfer in total household contracted land has already exceeded a third.Under the great trend of farmland transfer, whether land property reform is good to transform the mode of agricultural development from extensive development mode of over-reliance on resource input to intensive development mode of more attention to the combination of factor input and factor allocation, more emphasis on scientific and technological innovation, and more attention to sustainable development? This question requires further consideration.Firstly, this paper defined and analyzed several concepts such as farmland transfer, intensive management and extensive management, and agricultural intensification, introduced property rights theory, agricultural scale economic theory, agricultural efficiency theory, agricultural intensification theory and agricultural development stage theory. Then, the framework of farmland transfer affecting agricultural intensification development was made and the action mechanism of farmland transfer on agricultural intensification development was analyzed.Next, the current situation of farmland transfer in China was analyzed. The development of farmland transfer in China is generally good, but there are characteristics of "involution" and unbalanced regional development in farmland transfer. And the development of agricultural intensification in China was analyzed from three dimensions, including the comprehensive level of agricultural intensification, the management efficiency of agricultural intensification and the management quality of agricultural intensification. And next, the effect of farmland transfer on agricultural intensification development was empirically tested from farmland transfer scale and different flows of cultivated land by dynamic panel model. The result shows that farmland transfer has significant positive effect on agricultural intensification development, while there is great difference in the influence of different flows of cultivated land on agricultural intensification development. Finally, this paper summarized the research conclusions and put forward policy suggestions to promote the development of agricultural intensification in China.
