The purpose of this study is to improve the development level of tourism festivals in Xinjiang,narrow the development gap of tourism festivals in various cities and towns,and promote the development of quality and efficiency of tourism festivals in 15 cities in Xinjiang and the optimization and upgrading of regional spatial structure.Firstly,the study explains the research background and significance of tourism festivals,domestic and foreign research review,research methods and content,so as to provide theoretical preparation for the research of this paper.On this basis,the concepts of tourism festivals,time and space differentiation,and time and space differentiation of tourism festivals are defined.Secondly,it analyzes the connotation of core-edge theory,regional differentiation law and system theory,and the application of these theories in Xinjiang tourism festival research.Thirdly,seasonal intensity index,seasonal variation index,concentration index,variation coefficient and ArcGIS spatial distribution were used to reflect the temporal and spatial differentiation characteristics of Xinjiang tourism festivals from 2012 to 2016.Finally,using the correlation analysis method in SPSS software,the paper explores the driving force of spatial and temporal differentiation of tourism festivals in Xinjiang.The study analyzes the spatial and temporal differentiation and driving force of tourism festivals in 15 cities and regions of Xinjiang from 2012 to 2016.The results show that:1.In 2012-2016,the annual characteristics of Xinjiang tourism festivals showed a steady and rapid growth trend.The distribution of Xinjiang tourism festivals is more scattered.The seasonal changes in the year are very obvious,and there are obvious off-season seasons.2.Annual concentration index,spatial distribution index and variation coefficient analysis show that the tourism festivals held in 15 prefectures and cities in Xinjiang have obvious differences and uneven spatial distribution.The spatial analysis of ArcGIS also shows that the spatial distribution of tourism festivals in Xinjiang is still unreasonable,and the number of tourism festivals held in various cities and towns is quite different.3.The plant and flower-themed tourism festival is held in spring and summer,and the property and catering tourism festival is held in the autumn.The celestial and meteorological landscape tourism festival is held in the winter.The tourism festivals held in southern Xinjiang are mostly based on the theme of food and beverage,plants and flowers and ethnic folk customs.The northern Xinjiang region is dominated by catering,plant and flower,and astronomical and meteorological landscapes.4.Through correlation analysis,it is found that the 2016 Xinjiang Tourism Festival has a significant positive correlation with the factors of tourism basic service facilities factors,scientific and technological intellectual support factors and openness factors.5.In view of the practical problems of Xinjiang tourism festivals and the driving factors of time and space differentiation of tourism festivals,the countermeasures and suggestions for the development of tourism festivals in Xinjiang are proposed from the aspects of social economy,tourism products,tourism infrastructure and tourism service capabilities,and tourism propaganda.
