Research On The Current Situation,Problems And Countermeasure Of The Development Of Domestic Prime Brokerage Business

Along with the rise of private institutions in recent years,the upsurge of Prime Brokerage has surfaced.Major brokers firmly believe that prime brokerage business will be the next blue ocean for the development of securities firms,hence the business was started.However,though the scale of domestic private equity management has reached one hundred thousand billion,but the scale of private equity management which is subordinate to the prime broker only covers one tenth.Researching the bottleneck of development and seeking development countermeasures have become the focus of attention of securities companies,regulators,system developers and other market entities.Starting from the course and current situation of the development of institutional brokerage business in China,this paper analyses the existing problems,investigates the representative securities companies in China,and studies the bottlenecks and causes of the development of institutional brokerage business.At the same time,on the basis of consulting the literature,this paper innovatively puts forward the countermeasures to promote the development of institutional brokerage business from the perspective of the indispensable regulatory authorities and system developers.This paper concludes that,as the main broker,securities companies can produce better returns of development by developing new business,adding new functions,increasing investment of system deployment and determining customer positioning,but only a partial effect can be produced.First of all,from the perspective of regulation,we should consider appropriate or targeted easing policies to promote the prosperity of domestic institutional brokerage business;secondly,securities companies should better cope with the new regulation.Thirdly,as a system developer,it is very important to provide better technical support to ensure that the highlights of the system publicity are consistent with the functions of the system landing,and to provide the most basic platform services.On this basis,the needs of different positioning customer can be considered and provide different technical support.At the same time,the developers have a full advantage of customer groups can consider whether to open up a new banking market,securities companies to broaden the scope of carrier to promote institutional clients and cooperation,and refining the system technical requirements will promote more domestic institutions by the stability and prosperity of the business market discipline.
