Family business is the earliest corporate organization in the human history and could offer most common reference for business operations.After China launched the reform and opening up policy,China re-implemented corporate business system.Since then,family businesses have also mushroomed across China and grown rapidly.According to the survey data released by Caijing magazine,by December 2017,the first generation of entrepreneurs after the People's Republic of China was founded is reaching retirement age,which will impact about 3 million family businesses in mainland China,which is 70% of the total family businesses,assuming the retirement age is 60 years old.In the absence of other special circumstances,Chinese entrepreneurs are more willing to choose their own children to inherit their businesses,thereby achieving a smooth transition of leadership within the family.In the context of traditional Chinese culture,the problems and challenges during family business leadership and wealth transition result in myriad differences.In the process of intergenerational transfer of family businesses,the conflicts between management team and family members in terms of management concepts and methodologies become an unavoidable challenge for family businesses.This paper will analyze the interpersonal conflicts in the intergenerational transfer of executive team of "Fenfang Beauty",and conduct exploratory research from the aspects of conflict management and conflict control resolution strategies.The paper focuses on the research of strategies upon the conflicts resulted from family businesses succession of Fenfang Beauty Group nearly during the past 13 years.The study tracks and analyzes historical key meeting memos among Liu Feng,founder of Fenfang,Gongliangzhi,Liu's son and successor,as well as the company's mid and long term strategic planning,department and individual annual plans and summaries,personnel changes.The research also includes long hours of interview with study subjects for many times,collecting and analyzing a great deal of text and picture materials and historical media reports.The paper seeks to research on the reasons of conflicts during family business succession from the perspectives of key individuals and senior management team respectively and aims to explore scientific approaches to manage the sources of conflicts,so as to provide reference for other enterprises to avoid similar mishaps and mistakes,by taking the intergenerational transfer of Fenfang Beauty Group as an example,and analyzing their various types of conflicts during the leadership transfer and summarizing their methodologies in problem solving and conflicts management.In search of the solution to harmonize family culture as well as corporate culture,as well as to pass on this upgraded fusing culture,the paper seeks to explore the fundamental driving force of long term growth via elaborately handling and balancing family emotions,rationality in corporate management and social responsibility.The research hence is expected to have far-reaching significance and influence on the sustainable development of enterprises.Family business is the integration of "family" and "corporate" organizations.Once a unique family culture and family relationship network conflicts with modern enterprise management,it will have a great impact on family business inheritance.How to manage human resources conflicts,gender conflicts,as well as conflicts of values,during intergenerational transfer of family businesses and exert the positive influence of excellent traditional Chinese culture upon family culture and corporate culture is a brand new research topic.Therefore,the paper is expected to provide beneficial reference for conflict resolution in the process of contemporary family business succession.
