Under the pressure of macro-economy going downturn,many enterprises were facing with smaller profits margins as the increasingly raw materials cost arose.Non-production purchasing,as part of the supply chain management,had been always playing a vital role in company's internal business module,partially providing guidance to the whole company.It was an important strategic tool to create value-added business and received more attention among entrepreneurs and corporate researchers.The thesis,taking Company B's non-production purchasing management as the object of study,applying purchasing theories to the practices in Company B to analyze its existing problems and put forward an optimal management solution to non-production purchasing in Company B.Firstly,A comprehensive study and investigation into non-production purchasing in Company B were conducted on the basis of the collation and analysis on the collected data,profile and cases,from which generating the characteristics of non-production purchasing management and the distinction between production purchasing.Consequently,the thesis believed that a good internal environment in purchasing organization and a rational procurement resource allocation could guarantee the efficiency promotion.Subsequently,on the strength of the supplier management theory and the characteristics of non-production purchasing,a set of countermeasures on supplier management strategies were put forward to compensate the existing non-production purchasing management strategy in Company B.Finally,following the development trend of procurement under supply chain management,it was suggested that strategic purchasing may be implemented by facilitating cross-sectoral collaboration,reducing internal friction,and raising the awareness of TCO total cost of ownership.This study helped to optimize the non-production purchasing management in Company B for better allocating purchasing management resources,improving purchasing efficiency and realizing the goal on the strategic purchasing management through effective supplier management and increasing awareness of total cost of ownership.Meanwhile,the study could also function as a reference for other enterprises to establish non-production purchasing management.
