Research On The Influence Of Agricultural Production Factors To Agricultural Economic Growth In Western China

Agriculture is the foundation of national economic development.The development of agriculture is related to the stability of social operation.The Chinese government has always paid great attention to agricultural economic issues.At the fourth session of the 12 th National People's Congress,general secretary xi jinping stressed that "agricultural stability leads to world peace".This is enough to show the importance of agriculture and the degree to which the country attaches importance to agricultural development.The development of agriculture needs the input of agricultural production elements.The new economic growth theory holds that the economic growth of a country or region mainly depends on the input of production factors and technological progress.For a long time,"more people and less land" reflects the basic situation of agricultural production factor endowment in western China.Along with the development of western agriculture,its factor input also presents the characteristics of rapid change and various styles.The specific performance is shown in the following aspects: first,from 1997 to 2016,the agricultural labor force in the western region decreased from 114.864 million to 95.1947 million.The total sown area of crops increased from 47861.10 kha to 56392.67 kha.The investment in rural fixed assets increased from 56.05 billion yuan in 1997 to 206.1282 billion yuan in 2016,and the growth rate was significantly increased.In addition,great progress has been made in agricultural science and technology in western China.The total power of agricultural machinery increased from 85,125,000 kw in 1997 to 255,932,200 kw in 2016.Agricultural chemical fertilizers increased from 9.4730 million tons in 1997 to 18.074 million tons in 2017.Improved seed,film,pesticide and agricultural information are widely used in agricultural production.Although the western region has made great progress in agricultural development,there are still many problems,such as the abandoned farmland and the increasingly scarce young and strong agricultural labor force,which deserve our attention.Therefore,it is more necessary to understand the changes in factors in the western region,and its impact on agricultural economic growth.According to the theory of factor endowment and the theory of agricultural economic growth,the change of factor input will affect agricultural economic growth.So nearly 20 years come,how did western each province agriculture produce element to invest to produce what kind of change concretely? What are the differences between regions? Under the background of the change of agricultural production factor input in western region,how about the efficiency of agricultural production factor input in western provinces? In econometrics,to what extent does input of various agricultural production factors affect agricultural economic growth in western China? This paper will analyze the above problems one by one.Based on the theory of factor endowment,the theory of factor contribution and the theory of agricultural economic growth,this paper analyzed the current situation of agricultural economic growth and factor utilization in western provinces from 1997 to 2016 from two dimensions of time and space on the basis of the existing studies.Then,based on the in-depth analysis of the change of agricultural single factor productivity in western provinces,the data envelopment analysis model(DEA model)was used to analyze the factor input efficiency.Then,using the relevant data of western provinces from 1997 to 2016,the panel data model was used to conduct an empirical analysis on the impact of agricultural production factor input on agricultural economic growth in western China.Finally,according to the research conclusions and the actual situation in the western region,the paper puts forward relevant countermeasures and suggestions.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows :(1)The western region has a good momentum of agricultural economic growth,and the total output value of agriculture,forestry,animal husbandry and fishery keeps rising.Input of most agricultural production factors increased steadily,among which total expenditure on agriculture,pesticides and fertilizers increased rapidly.(2)Agricultural single factor productivity in the western region is on the rise;The comprehensive technical efficiency of factor input in most provinces(cities and autonomous regions)keeps rising,and its efficiency level remains above 0.7,while the pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency are also on the rise.(3)In western provinces(cities and autonomous regions),there exists the phenomenon of redundant input of agricultural production factors,but the redundancy rate of input shows a trend of decline.(4)The sown area of crops,agricultural capital,pesticides,chemical fertilizers,agricultural diesel oil and the comprehensive technical efficiency of factor input have significant positive effects on agricultural economic growth in the western region.Agricultural labor force,pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency have significant negative effects on agricultural economic growth.The total power of agricultural machinery,rural electricity consumption and agricultural plastic film had no significant influence on agricultural economic growth.(5)Agricultural labor force in western China has a significant negative impact on agricultural economic growth.This explains,western region or already appeared the phenomenon of surplus of agricultural labor force.(6)The influence of land and labor on agricultural economic growth is lower than that of fertilizers and pesticides.Accordingly,this paper puts forward the following countermeasures and Suggestions :(1)Increase the agricultural fund and policy support to the western region to provide policy guarantee for the sustainable growth of agricultural economy.(2)Optimize the way of agricultural subsidies in western China and stabilize the sown area of crops.(3)Reasonably expand the operation scale of peasant households and improve the scale efficiency of agricultural production.(4)Optimize the input proportion of agricultural production factors and reduce the redundancy of input factors.(5)Accelerate the transfer of agricultural labor and improve labor productivity.(6)Improve the level of science and education in rural areas,and use science and technology to improve land productivity.(7)Actively transforming the momentum of agricultural development and promoting sustainable agricultural development.
