This paper, viewing the rural human capital as the start point and basing on the data of provinces in western region, explore the effect of western region’s rural human capital on the economic growth in the Western Agricultural according to the actual situation.Firstly, the rural human capital is subdivided into three parts:the rural human capital of education, migration and health. And further rural education was broken down into primary, intermediate and advanced education in human capital, then the status of its development is under deep analysis. Then, based on the analysis of agriculture economic growth on the western provinces, eleven provinces (except Tibet) is divided into two groups. The first group contains fast-growing provinces:Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, Gansu, Ningxia, Xinjiang, Sichuan and Guangxi; the second group contains provinces of general development:Yunnan, Qinghai, Chongqing and Guizhou.Secondly, basing on the more mature human capital theory, combining Chinese western rural human capital, status of agricultural economic growth, referring to the traditional production function and adding land investment, investment in physical capital, fertilizer inputs, level of urbanization, openness and other control variables, establish three panel data regression equations to measure the impact of three different types of "special" human capital on agricultural economic growth of western China. Finally, based on the model results conclusions of this study are arrived: First, as to the economic growth of agriculture in western region, rural human capital is an important reason, but the overall level of human capital in rural areas is not high throughout the western region and its development is uneven, different human capital’s contribution is quite different, the degree of attention to higher human capital, human capital mobility is still low。 Second, the traditional factor is the important source of affecting the agricultural economy growth in western region;Third effect of urbanization level is very significant.
