The Study On The Impact Of Direct Investment By Taiwan Businessmen And Cross-strait Trade On Cross-strait Bank Cooperation

With the increasingly frequent economic exchanges between the two sides of the Taiwan straits,the direct investment from Taiwan businessmen to the mainland and the trade between the two sides of the Taiwan straits have developed rapidly,and the banking cooperation between the two sides of the Taiwan straits has become the general trend.In particular,with the signing of the economic cooperation framework agreement(ECFA)and the memorandum of understanding(MOU)on cross-strait financial regulatory cooperation,financial cooperation between the two sides was officially put on the agenda,and cross-strait banking cooperation ushered in new development opportunities.In 2011,the state council will "strengthen financial cooperation across the Taiwan straits and promote the establishment of a cross-straits monetary settlement mechanism in an appropriate way",which will be included in the 12 th five-year plan.This shows that the state attaches great importance to financial cooperation across the straits.As an important part of financial cooperation,bank cooperation is regarded by many scholars as the main part of cross-strait financial cooperation,which plays an important role in realizing the rapid and stable development of cross-strait financial cooperation.In this paper,we study the Taiwanese direct investment and trade of cross-strait cooperation in the bank,the influence of the theoretical part,first of all,Taiwan direct investment and the development of cross-strait trade are summarized,analyzed the development of Taiwan to the mainland for direct investment and its characteristics,at present there are problems to be solved,such as investment in regional distribution,investment imbalance of industrial structure,etc.;At the same time,it analyzes the current situation and existing problems of cross-strait trade.Secondly,the development of the banking industry in Taiwan and the banking industry in mainland China are respectively introduced.The development of the banking industry in mainland China is divided into four stages: single initial specialization and diversification--comprehensive opening up;the banking industry in Taiwan is also divided into four stages: starting and resuming--take-off--medium-speed development--low-speed development.And then study the existing problems of cross-strait banking cooperation.Finally,the paper analyzes the theoretical basis and mechanism of the direct investment of Taiwan businessmen and the trade between Taiwan and the mainland.In the empirical part,this paper uses the SVAR model,and the explained variable is the cross-strait bank cooperation,and the indicator of the total debt and creditor's rights of two mainland Banks to Taiwan Banks(TDL)is used to express the explanatory variable.The direct investment of Taiwan merchants is expressed by the direct investment of Taiwan merchants,and the cross-strait trade is expressed by the total import and export trade between the two sides.First,establish SVAR model for the impact of direct investment of Taiwan merchants and cross-strait trade on cross-strait bank cooperation.Then,ADF test is conducted on the variables in the model to verify whether they are stable time series,and the number of lag periods of the model is determined.Finally,the impulse response analysis and variance decomposition of the SVAR model are made,and an empirical conclusion is drawn: the direct investment of Taiwan businessmen and the cross-strait trade have a promoting effect on the cross-strait bank cooperation,which will be enhanced with time.The end of this article,according to the above theoretical and empirical research,it is concluded that Taiwanese direct investment and trade to promote effects of cross-strait cooperation in the bank,the conclusion of cross-strait cooperation in the bank development is not enough,and encourage Taiwanese on the mainland for direct investment,strengthen the cross-strait trade and further ease restrictions on cross-strait cooperation in the bank's policy,establishing and perfecting the cross-strait cooperation in the banking laws and regulations policy Suggestions,such as to strengthen the cross-strait cooperation in the bank,to realize the leap-forward development of cross-strait economic better.
