Qingdao Airport Economic Development Research

Airports is the most convenient way for regions to connect with the world and integrate into the global market in the era of speed economy.Airport economy with high-end and export-oriented characteristics is the engine for improving the degree of regional openness and optimizing and upgrading the industrial structure.With the increasing importance of airport economy in promoting regional economic growth,more and more cities begin to take airport economy as the core of urban strategy.In recent years,Qingdao has begun to attach importance to the development of airport economy and put forward the vision of building a world-class airport economic zone.Under this background,An empirical study on the interaction between Qingdao airport economy and Qingdao regional economy has been carried out,and a comprehensive analysis of Qingdao airport economic efficiency has been made.Firstly,this paper combs the domestic and foreign research results on the airport economy,introduces the theoretical basis of the airport economy,and then uses VAR model to conduct empirical research on the data of Qingdao airport economic zone in the past 20 years.The results show that the airport economy of Qingdao has a significant impact on local economic growth.Then,using DEA model as an empirical analysis tool,nine typical domestic airports are selected from a horizontal perspective.There are 10 airport economic zones in the economic zone and Qingdao airport economic zone as decision-making units.Longitudinally,the data of Qingdao airport economic zone in recent 10 years are selected as decision-making units,and the efficiency of Qingdao airport economic zone is comprehensively analyzed from both vertical and horizontal perspectives.Longitudinal efficiency analysis results show that the total efficiency of Qingdao airport economic zone is ineffective in half of the year,mainly due to the restriction of the development scale of Qingdao airport economic zone,and secondly to the restriction of technical conditions.The results of horizontal efficiency analysis show that the overall efficiency of Qingdao airport economic zone ranks higher,but its value is smaller than that of other airport economic zones.On the one hand,it confirms the results of vertical efficiency analysis again,that Qingdao airport economic zone is not in the optimal production scale,on the other hand,it shows that Chinese airport economy as a whole has a larger space for development.According to the results of empirical analysis and the actual situation of Qingdao,this paper puts forward some policy suggestions on the development of airport economy in Qingdao from the perspectives of hardware strength,software strength,governmentpolicy guidance and Qingdao's own location advantages: based on the goal of establishing regional hub airport,improving airport infrastructure,enhancing competitive soft power,building first-class airport economic zone,policy guidance and planning,according to local conditions to build an airport economic zone with Qingdao characteristics.
