The Research On The Relationship Among Task Environment , Resource Flexibility And Enterprise Transformation And Upgrading

Our country is in the critical period of economic transformation and upgrading.As the backbone of promoting economic transformation and upgrading,enterprises are the key to win this battle.Although enterprises and government departments attach great importance to and actively carry out transformation and upgrading work,there are still many difficulties.Most Chinese enterprises are still at the middle and low end of the global value chain,and can not effectively match enterprise resources to cope with environmental changes.Scholars at home and abroad have carried out a lot of theoretical research on enterprise transformation and upgrading,but different studies have their own emphasis,lacking systematic research on the impact of internal and external factors on enterprise transformation and upgrading in the context of global value chain embeddedness.Therefore,this study is devoted to exploring the impact mechanism of task environment and resource flexibility on enterprise transformation and upgrading,and the moderating effect of global value chain embeddedness in it.On the basis of reviewing and commenting the related research on resource-based theory,global value chain theory,task environment,resource flexibility and enterprise transformation and upgrading,this paper constructs a theoretical model and deduces research hypothesis.Then,based on 203 valid questionnaires,we use SPSS 25.0 software to do correlation analysis and regression analysis of the sample data.Finally,through discussing the empirical results,we draw the following conclusions: Firstly,the three dimensions of task environment(environmental dynamism,environmental complexity and environmental munificence)have a significant positive impact on enterprise transformation and upgrading.Secondly,resource flexibility has a significant positive impact on enterprise transformation and upgrading.Thirdly,global value chain embeddedness has a positive moderating effect on the relationship between environmental dynamism/environmental complexity and enterprise transformation and upgrading,but global value chain embeddedness fails to moderate the relationship between environmental munificence and enterprise transformation and upgrading.Fourthly,the global value chain embeddedness has a positive moderating effect on the relationship between resource flexibility and enterprise transformation and upgrading.The innovation of this paper lies in introducing environmental dynamism,environmental complexity,environmental munificence and resource flexibility as independent variables into the research framework,discussing the effect of the four factors on enterprise transformation and upgrading,and discussing the moderating effect of global value chain embeddedness in it.This not only enriches the research framework of enterprise transformation and upgrading in academic circles,but also provides practical guidance for Chinese enterprises to embedding in global value chain and actively adjust their resource flexibility to match task environment and successfully realize transformation and upgrading.
