?Objective?There are still numerous problems in the development of protected agriculture at the present stage,such as low mechanization level of facilities,lack of capital resources,lack of development guidance and risk protection,insufficient construction level of hardware facilities,lack of relevant professionals \,low degree of marketization,industrial-scale and production efficiency need to be improved,etc.Wujiaqu,the 6th Division of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps(XPCC)is an vital node of the north passage of "The Belt and Road",a important region of innovation-driven development strategy and the back garden of Urumqi-Changji integration.It is of great significance to study the development path selection of protected agriculture in this city,with a view to promote work in all areas by drawing upon the experience gained on key points for promoting the development of protected agriculture in XPCC in an all-round way.?Methods?The 6th Division of XPCC and its affiliated regiment,government administrative departments and production bases were visited to understand the real situation.On the basis of collecting,reading,sorting out and analyzing a large number of relevant documents about the development of protected agriculture at home and abroad,in Xinjiang and XPCC,the advantages and disadvantages,opportunities and threats were analyzed by means of literature research,on-the-spot investigation,SWOT analysis and combing the theory and practice.Scientific,reasonable analysis and suggestions were conducted according to the theoretical support and survey data analysis,and the actual construction operation.?Results?In this paper,on the basis of collecting and analyzing the literature of protected agriculture development at home and abroad,and investigating the characteristics and problems of protected agriculture development in the Sixth Division,the path choice of protected agriculture development in the 6th Division was explored through SWOT analysis method and drawing inspirations in understanding the development of protected agriculture in different provinces of China in different periods.The paper was divided into 6 chapters.In the first chapter,the collected literatures were analyzed to understand the development status of facility agriculture at home and abroad,and to prepare the theoretical basis for further research.In the second chapter,the development process and characteristics of protected agriculture in the 6th Division of XPCC were elaborated by means of field investigation and data analysis.The existing problems in the process of development were put forward.In the third chapter,SWOT analysis method was used to study the advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and threats of protected agricultural development in the 6th Division.The fourth chapter obtained the enlightenment of the protected agricultural development in the 6th Division through the combination of the research on the development of Beijing vegetable bases in Ming and Qing dynasties,the development and evolution of vegetable bases in various provinces and the research on Urumqi city circle to discover their unique development mode.In the fifth chapter,four development principles and objectives,such as sustainable development and environment-friendly,were put forward.Based on the strategic planning and actual situation of national and local development,the path suitable for the development of protected agriculture in the 6th Division was discussed.In addition,some suggestions were put forward.?Conclusion? At present,the development of the protected agriculture industry in the 6th Division is not quite developed,and it is still necessary to draw lessons from the development process of the protected agriculture industry.The accumulation of experience at the beginning of protected agricultural development has been completed by the 6th Division.In order to meet the immediate needs,it is necessary to adhere to the sustainable development of protected agriculture,build environment-friendly protected agriculture,improve the income and living standards of the staff and workers of XPCC,and give full play to the characteristics of regional economic development.The pastures of each regiment in the 6th Division are basically included in Urumqi city circle,extending from Shihezi city to Qitai county,which is very beneficial to the development of intensive protected agriculture and leisure tourism protected agriculture in suburbs.
