Due to "liability of newness",Startups often face the dilemma of resource scarcity.How to obtain a large amount of external resources to support the growth and development of the enterprise is extremely important.With the emergence of high-speed Internet and social networks,entrepreneurial contests,project roadshows,and crowdfunding have become new channels for entrepreneurs to obtain external resources in recent years.Unlike traditional financing methods based on written communication between business plans or one-to-one communication between entrepreneurs and investors,these new funding channels often require entrepreneurs to present on-site or video presentations of entrepreneurial projects.The new financing phenomenon has also aroused widespread concern in the academic world,but the current research on the phenomenon of new financing alternatives only focuses on the project characteristics that affect investors' decision-making(such as entry barriers to entrepreneurial projects,market growth potential,etc.),individual characteristics of investors,individual characteristics of entrepreneurs,and their interactions with investors in project presentations(such as emotions,creativity,effort,project presentation,and rhetoric of entrepreneurs in project presentations),but few notice the intention to pitch is a prerequisite.Psychological research shows that intention is an effective predictor of behavior.Any intention,once put into practice,will inevitably produce action results.Therefore,entrepreneurial intention to present project will affect the entrepreneurs pitch.The more intense the entrepreneur's intention to present project,the more likely it is to conduct a pitch.As a psychological variable,the entrepreneur's intention to prensent project is influenced by many factors in the entrepreneurial process.With the continuous development of psychological research on passion,scholars have gradually introduced the concept of passion into the field of entrepreneurial research,and proposed the concept of entrepreneurial passion.As a strong positive emotion,entrepreneurial passion has been widely concerned by scholars for its influence on the behavioral intention of entrepreneurs.Research shows that entrepreneurial passion can significantly affect entrepreneurs' cognition,intention and behavior,which provides a new perspective for the study of entrepreneurs' intention to present project.Therefore,from the perspective of emotion,this paper attempts to explore the impact of entrepreneurial passion on the entrepreneur's intention to present project.In the relevant research on the behavioral intention of entrepreneurs,scholars have little research on the entrepreneur's intention to present project,and have not discussed the factors influencing the entrepreneur's intention to present project.In order to fill the existing research gaps,this paper,based on the self-determination theory and the dualistic model of passion,discusses the influence mechanism of harmonious passion and obsessive passion on the intention to presentation.At the same time,the self-regulation theory is introduced to further reveal the moderated effect of entrepreneurial self-efficacy.To sum up,this study constructs a theoretical model composed of entrepreneurs' harmonious passion,obsessive passion,self-efficacy and intention to presentation.Through the data analysis of 204 the effective questionnaires of young entrepreneurs in Chengdu Employment Center,this paper draws the following conclusions: First of all,harmonious passion have a positive effect on the intention to presentation,and the positive effect is not affected by the level of entrepreneurial self-efficacy.Secondly,obsessive passion has no significant influence on the intention to presentation,but the relationship is moderated by entrepreneurial self-efficacy.That is,when the level of entrepreneurial self-efficacy is high,the higher the level of obsessive passion,the lower the intention to presentation.Correspondingly,when the self-efficacy of entrepreneurs is low,the higher the level of obsessive passion,the higher the intention to presentation.The research of this paper not only discusses the factors that influence the intention to present project,but also reveals the different mechanisms of two kinds of entrepreneurial passion on the intention to presentation.As an important part of the entrepreneurial process,the formation and development of entrepreneurs' intention to present project will have an important impact on their subsequent entrepreneurial action.Therefore,this paper further develops the entrepreneurship theory and broadens the existing research boundary by exploring the influence mechanism of entrepreneurial passion on the intention to entrepreneurs' presentation.
