Research On The Impact Of Trade Facilitation On China-ASEAN Trade

The level of trade facilitation has an important impact on bilateral trade between China and ASEAN.Firstly,this paper analyses the current trade situation?the total trade volume and the bilateral trade structure between China and ASEAN countries.The results show that the total trade volume between China and ASEAN is increasing year by year,accounting for a larger proportion of China's total foreign trade,and the trade growth rate is faster.Vietnam is China's largest trading partner.The bilateral trade products between China and ASEAN are mainly manufactured goods with complementary trade structure,China and ASEAN have great trade space.At the same time,the current situation and existing problems of trade facilitation construction between China and ASEAN are analyzed.Secondly,from the five first-level indicators of trade barriers,infrastructure,business environment,financial environment and e-commerce to 23 second-level indicators,the evaluation system of trade facilitation level of ten ASEAN countries has been established and perfected.Entropy method has been used to empower and calculate the level of trade facilitation,and the evaluation results of trade facilitation level have been analyzed.The results show,from 2011 to 2017,the level of trade facilitation of the ten ASEAN countries is not high,which is generally stable and fluctuates slightly.Finally,based on the gravity model,four regression models are established to analyze the level of trade facilitation and the five primary indicators of trade barriers,infrastructure,financial environment,business environment,the impact of e-commerce on bilateral trade flows between China and ASEAN,and the impact of trade facilitation level on bilateral trade structure.The results show that the level of trade facilitation is positively correlated with bilateral trade volume.The improvement of trade facilitation level can increase bilateral trade volume.Trade barriers,infrastructure,business environment,e-commerce are positively correlated with bilateral trade volume,while financial environment is negatively correlated with bilateral trade volume.The improvement of trade facilitation level is conducive to the upgrading of trade structure.It will have a positive effect on bilateral manufactured goods and a negative effect on primary products.Finally,the article puts forward relevant policy suggestions on strengthening infrastructure construction,improving the business environment of ASEAN countries,further reducing trade barriers,vigorously developing e-commerce,improving the financial environment and strengthening policy communication.
