With the remarkable enhancement of China’s economic strength and overall national strength, the opening up of agriculture to the outside world has been accelerated, the scale and scope of foreign investment in agriculture has been continuously expanded, and the trade in agricultural products has developed rapidly, making positive contributions to maintaining global and regional food security.By the end of 2016,China’s outbound agricultural investment stock had reached us $15.76 billion, with 863 enterprises established overseas and investment covering 107 countries(regions)on six continents(excluding Antarctica). In the context of the continuous growth of foreign agricultural investment, the research problem of this paper is the analysis of the influencing factors of Chinese enterprises’ foreign agricultural investment and the research of investment decision-making.At present, there are six main aspects of research at home and abroad, namely, investment environment, investment mode, investment influence factors, investment risk investment potential and investment decision-making.Existing studies have studied foreign agricultural research from multiple dimensions, such as economy, market, politics, resources, technology and risk, respectively or comprehensively. The factors considered are relatively comprehensive and have reference value. However, there are two shortcomings.First, some indicators are not representative and do not combine the characteristics of the agricultural industry, such as the dependence on land and other resources.Second, most of the research conclusions only focus on the factors that have a significant impact on foreign agricultural investment, which can not provide a reference for China’s foreign agricultural investment. The research idea of this paper is:First of all, through the analysis of the current situation of China’s foreign agricultural investment,it is concluded that under the background of the sustained growth of foreign agricultural investment, there is no decision-making basis for the national choice and the choice of subdivided industries of the enterprise’s outward agricultural investment. Therefore, this paper puts forward the research problem, that is,the analysis of the influencing factors and the investment decision-making of Chinese enterprises’ foreign investment in agriculture.Secondly,by referring to the conclusions of existing studies and combining the characteristics of the agricultural industry, the index system of foreign agricultural investment is constructed and theoretical hypotheses are put forward.Thirdly, based on the basic gravity model,an extended gravity model is constructed to measure the flow rate and flow structure of foreign agricultural investment.Subsequently, the trade potential model of international trade theory is used for reference to measure the national investment potential of foreign agricultural investment and the investment potential of segmented industries,so as to provide reference for Chinese enterprises in foreign agricultural investment. Finally, based on the actual case of foreign agricultural investment of enterprises, combined with the index system, this paper analyzes and evaluates the investment projects, and provides a model for the decision-making of enterprises’ outbound agricultural investment. The application value of this paper is as follows:firstly,it improves the index system for measuring the flow rate of Chinese enterprises’ foreign agricultural investment and the structure of the flow rate of Chinese enterprises’ foreign agricultural investment, and provides a reference index for Chinese enterprises to make foreign agricultural investment decisions.Secondly, the measurement model of foreign agricultural investment flow and foreign agricultural investment flow structure measurement of Chinese enterprises is constructed, and the quantitative measurement method is provided.Thirdly,it quantitatively evaluates the agricultural investment potential of each country and the agricultural sub-industry investment potential of each country, providing guidance for Chinese enterprises to choose which agricultural sub-industry in which country to invest. Finally, combined with the case,it shows how to use the above research to make enterprise investment decisions, and provides a model for Chinese enterprises to make foreign agricultural investment decisions.
