At present, all countries in the world begin to pay more attention to the manufacturing industry.China has once again highlighted the importance of manufacturing industry in China's economic development through the formulation of "Made in China 2025".However,with the increase of labor costs and the strengthening of resource protection, some advantages of China's manufacturing industry are no longer prominent. In this case, the transformation and development of manufacturing industry is particularly important. And it is closely related to the development of other industries, especially producer services.Since FDI can bring capital and technology,FDI in producer services can form technology spillover effect, promote technological progress and improve technological efficiency, thus improving TFP of manufacturing industry and accelerating the transformation and development of manufacturing industry. Therefore,it is of great significance to explore the impact of foreign direct investment in producer services on TFP of manufacturing in China. On the basis of relevant theoretical research, this paper first defines the connotation and extension of producer services,FDI and manufacturing TFP.By analyzing the characteristics and influencing factors of FDI in producer services and TFP in manufacturing, this paper studies the mechanism of FDI in producer services affecting TFP in manufacturing from three aspects: human capital,r&d input and foreign trade degree. Then,in order to understand the current situation of FDI in producer services and TFP in manufacturing, this paper compares the regional and industrial levels. The total factor productivity of jiangsu, zhejiang, shaanxi and other21 provinces from 2006 to 2015 was obtained by means of data envelopment analysis. The results showed that the TFP of eastern provinces was generally higher than that of central and western provinces.By calculating the total factor productivity of 18 subdivided manufacturing industries in China,it is found that TFP of China's technology-intensive manufacturing industry is not high, indicating that China's manufacturing industry lacks key technical support and the industrial chain is still in the middle and low end.Based on panel data and intermediary effect model, this paper conducts an empirical analysis on the effect of FDI on TFP of manufacturing industry in producer services, and tests it by region and industry. The results show that FDI in producer services can influence TFP in manufacturing industry through human capital,r&dinput and foreign trade.Regionally, total factor productivity in the east increased more significantly. Moreover,in each region, the intermediary effect of research and development input is the largest, indicating that China is attaching greater importance to technological innovation and scientific and technological research and development. In terms of industries,FDI in producer services has a more significant impact on the TFP of capital-intensive manufacturing. But at the same time,it is found that human capital in the capital-intensive manufacturing industry has a significant full intermediary effect, indicating that the path of China's manufacturing industry relying on labor advantages has not changed. Finally,on the basis of theoretical analysis and empirical research, relevant countermeasures and Suggestions are put forward from the five aspects of talent construction, enterprise research and development, opening to the outside world, business environment and infrastructure.
