Research On Sino-US Agricultural Trade

As a traditional agricultural country,China's economic development has a very important relationship with the development of agricultural products.While agricultural trade is an important part of the development of agricultural products.Maintaining the sustainable and stable development of China's agricultural products trade is a key factor for the continuous improvement of China's economic level.Since the reform and opening up,especially since the accession to the WTO,the agricultural trade between China and the United States has developed rapidly,but the trade between the two countries has not developed smoothly,with various frictions and disputes,especially in recent years.The friction of US trade has had a huge impact on the trade between the two sides.Therefore,studying the status quo,characteristics and influencing factors of Sino-US agricultural trade is of great significance to promoting the development of Sino-US agricultural trade.This paper first summarizes the background of the study about Sino-US agricultural trade and the theoretical and practical significance of this research.Then,the research results of relevant scholars on Sino-US agricultural trade had been summed up from the aspects of Sino-US agricultural product trade and trade characteristics.Secondly,this paper briefly expounds the concept of agricultural products involved in agricultural trade and the main classification standards of agricultural products,and determines the classification standards of agricultural products adopted in this study.In addition,this paper also analyzes and summarizes the international trade theory associated with this research,including Theory of Comparative Advantage and Theory of Competitive Advantage of Nations,and affirms the necessity of developing Sino-US agricultural trade from a theoretical perspective.The third part of this paper is a summary of the current situation of agricultural trade between China and the United States.It summarizes the development and changes of China's agricultural trade from 2002 to 2017,and the trade volume and trade deficit between China and the United States during this period had been analyzed.Combined with the chart analysis,the status quo of China'agricultural products' foreign trade development and China's trade in agricultural products trade are in a state of deficit.This situation also exists in Sino-US agricultural trade.In addition,this chapter also analyzes and summarizes the single product problem in Sino-US agricultural trade and the combination of Sino-US agricultural trade.It lists the Sino-US trade friction and technical trade barriers faced by Sino-US agricultural trade.Leading a direction to clear the obstacles to the development of agricultural trade.This paper analyzes the several influencing factors of Sino-US agricultural trade from the perspective of theory and empirical analysis.The theoretical analysis results show that the use of China's comparative advantage and the stable development of China's economy are beneficial to China's agricultural exports;The influence of the four factors of China-US gross domestic product,RMB exchange rate against the US dollar and agricultural product export price index on the trade volume of Sino-US agricultural products shows that China's GDP growth is conducive to Sino-US agricultural trade,while exchange rate changes will be counterproductive.Finally,according to the research in the first four chapters of the article,some suggestions for promoting the development of Sino-US agricultural trade are proposed from the government level,industry level and enterprise level.
