There have been many studies on the relationship between the different types of leadership and the proactive behaviours of employees,such as authoritarian leadership,transformational leadership,moral leadership and other classical leadership styles;Some leadership styles become mainstream over the last several years,like authentic leadership,participative leadership,humble leadership,disruptive leadership,etc.Across the world,there are more management research on leadership styles and employee voice behaviour,but none on employee speaking out behaviour.Some scholars on business management have presented that the two constructs of employee voice and speaking up should not to be lumped together,but is this true?Through literature review of previous research,there are only a tiny minority of studies on followers' speaking up behaviours in both China and western management powers.Therefore,the relationship between authentic leadership and followers' speaking up behaviours was pointed to as the heart of this article,also combines with the following motivation of subordinate employees,which lacks of empirical analysis.And the new CPM theory is employed to give a innovative theoretical explanation of the affect mechanism of the authentic leadership pattern and the followers' speaking up behaviour.Moreover,the proposed model of this paper probes into and proves the moderating effect of organizational politics perception on authentic leadership style and followers' speaking up behaviours,and presents and shows that the existence of the three terms reciprocal relationship among the authentic leadership,organizational politics perception and power distance.Based on reviewing relevant literature,this study adopts the methods of theoretical discussion and empirical research,which takes 263 questionnaires filled out by subordinate employees with follower status in the workplace as appropriate testees as samples,probes into the relationship between the authentic leadership style and speaking up behaviours,explores the mediating effect and moderating efifect above mentioned.The conclusions as following are obtained through this research:(1)Authentic leadership can promote the speaking up behaviour of subordinates;(2)Subordinate employees' following motivation plays a mediating role in the relationship between the authentic leadership style and their speaking up behaviours;(3)A higher apperception of subord:inates' organizational politics will reduce the effect of authentic leadership in promoting their own speaking up behaviours;(4)The assumption of the three terms relationship among the followers' organizational politics perception,the situation of authentic leadership style and the tendency of power distance is supported.
