Urbanization,as an important indicator of a country’s economic development level,plays an important role in economic growth,In recent decades,China’s urbanization level has maintained rapid growth.Meanwhile,the tourism industry as a modern service industry has also developed rapidly during the same period,The rapid development of tourism has brought prosperity to the tourism economy,Whether the improvement of urbanization level can affect the development of tourism economy has aroused the attention of the academic community.In order to study the influence of urbanization on tourism economic development,especially the mechanism and influence path of urbanization on tourism economic development,it is of great significance to improve the relevant theories of urbanization and economic growth,At the same time,it is of great significance for local governments to better grasp the opportunity of rapid urbanization and promote the development of tourism economy.Firstly,based on the theory of urbanization influence on tourism economy,this paper analyzes the development status of urbanization and tourism economy in China.Secondly,it analyzes the theoretical mechanism of the influence of urbanization on tourism economy,and uses the panel data of 30 provinces and cities in China from2005 to 2017 to construct a multiple linear regression model to conduct empirical analysis from the national level and the eastern,central and western sub-regions.The paper also empirically analyzes the development of tourism economy affected by urbanization from 2005-2010 and 2011-2017,and tests the theoretical mechanism of urbanization affecting the economic development of tourism.The study found that:First,the level of urbanization has a positive correlation with the development of tourism economy.Second,fixed asset investment has a positive impact on the development of tourism economy.Third,transportation also has a positive impact on the tourism economy,and convenient transportation.It can promote the development of tourism economy.Fourth,the degree of government intervention has a negative relationship with the development of tourism economy,indicating that tourismdevelopment requires market dominance;fifth;industrial structure has a positive correlation with tourism economy,non-agricultural industry Development can promote economic growth and increase the disposable income of residents to promote the development of tourism economy.Finally,this paper puts forward policy recommendations for improving China’s urbanization and tourism economic development: First,strengthen the construction of talent team and promote the healthy development of urbanization and tourism.The second is to promote the differential development of urbanization levels in different regions,further improve the level of urbanization and urbanization in China,and promote the steady development of the tourism economy.The third is to promote the construction of infrastructure,including transportation facilities,landscape layout,water supply,power supply,communications,sanitation facilities and other tourism infrastructure construction to promote the common development of urbanization and tourism economy.
