The Analysis To Regional Difference Of Tourism Economy And Its Influencing Factors In Yangtze River Delta

The development of tourism industry in China has made a remarkable achievement since we followed the policy of reform and opening. At the same time, the problem of unbalanced development of regional tourism has become increasingly prominent. Yangtze River Delta is one of the most important tourism areas in China due to the lead position in tourism economy. However, the development of tourism economic in Yangtze River Delta is highly uneven because of tourism resources, local economic strength, location, infrastructure, etc.Taken16cities of the Yangtze River Delta as example, this paper uses the standard deviation, coefficient of variation, Gini index and nich index to analyze the overall regional disparity, disparities between the domain pattern of divergence and convergence, the difference of inbound tourism economy and domestic tourism economy. The results are as following:(1)The overall regional difference of tourism economy in Yangtze River Delta tends to be narrow, and the regional difference of domestic tourism economy is the main cause of the overall regional difference.(2) It has formed an obvious urban tourism core-periphery spatial structure of tourism economy in Yangtze River Delta, and there is a big gap in tourism economy between the core cities and other cities.(3) The regional difference of inbound tourism economy is more than that of domestic tourism economy in Yangtze River Delta.(4) There is a big gap in the cities of Yangtze River Delta in terms of tourism economy by multi-index evaluation model, and we can reach the same goal by singe index and multi-index evaluation model. The higher tourism income the city reached, the higher level of comprehensive development of tourism economy the city had; the lower tourism income the city reached, the lower level of comprehensive development of tourism economy the city had.(5) The significant contributors to tourism economy in Yangtze River Delta are tourism resource, traffic conditions,tourism facilities, regional economic development, etc. Moreover, the correlation between abundance of tourism resources and domestic tourism economy is more significant than inbound tourism economy, and the resource curse phenomenon has not appears. Although there is a stable positive relationship between traffic conditions and tourism economy, the traffic conditions of Yangtze River Delta cities are not the main obstacles for development of tourism at present.
