The inventory control of pharmaceuticals has been a matter of concern for many years,the validity time of the drug which as a kind of perishable goods is longer than normal perishable goods,but of equally serious deterioration conditions.And the hospital should pay more attention to the inventory control problem in order to ensure the safety,quality and efficacy of medicine.Although our country is strictly for the management of the drugs' expiration time,there are still security incidents caused by efficacy failure,deteriorating on stock etc.And this problem is always the pain points for the drugs management,thus it is more important to determine the order quantity of hospital.Especially for the biochemical preparation,the loss of medicinal efficacy is faster than other drugs,and there are lots of conditions and requirements whether in storage or in using process.Once failure or expired problems exist,it will be of great influence to the life safety of patients.Thus we consider the medicine inventory with the characteristic of medicinal efficacy,especially the biochemical preparation.According to the demand characteristics of the drug at the same time,as much as possible to ensure medicine sales within the period of validity,and determine the reasonable inventory quantity under different demand characteristics.Which can help the pharmaceutical industry combined with the changing market requirements and characteristics of the period of validity of medicine formulated the corresponding inventory strategy,and reduce the failure caused by inadequate number of medicine and reduce inventory loss as far as possible.This article mainly aims at the inventory problem of the biochemical preparation.On the basis of the Economic Order Quantity(EOQ)model,respectively research the medicine inventory strategy in deterministic demand and the uncertain demand characteristics:(1)firstly,under the condition of deterministic demand,we consider the demand is related to the validity time and established demand function to seek the inventory strategy.And considering it is difficult to determine demand function in reality,we proposed heuristic replenishment strategy based on the classical EOQ model in order to simplify the process of inventory decisions for hospital.Which shows that the heuristic replenishment strategy is more suitable for hospitals if it is difficult to predict demand and also hope to effectively reduce the inventory cost for hospitals.(2)second,under the condition of uncertain demand,we assume that the demand is normal distribution and then obtained the inventory strategy.We also considered the failure of medicine and the shortage cost and made order quantity and order cycle time so that to reduce the situation of medicine failure and out of stock situation for hospital.The conclusions indicate that the increase in drug expiration date,out-of-stock cost and failure cost has a positive impact on hospital inventory control,while the setting of safety stocks is not always the bigger the better.Hospitals need to consider ordering strategies when setting safety stocks.This paper starts with the procurement and inventory management of biochemical drugs,establishes an inventory model to study the inventory strategy of drugs,and considers the different demand characteristics of drugs,then combines with the classic perishable product model to obtain the best order quantity and order cycle time.To a certain extent,it has enriched the inventory research of the pharmaceutical industry,making the research of pharmaceutical inventory management more comprehensive,and providing relevant inventory management recommendations for the pharmaceutical industry,and having certain reference value for pharmaceutical inventory control.
