Research On The Development Of Green Insurance In China

With the continuous development of China’s economy,the problem of environmental pollution has become increasingly serious.There is an urgent need to use the green insurance market approach to manage environmental risks.At the same time,the development of green insurance is also an inevitable requirement and important content for establishing and improving China’s green financial system and promoting the concept of green development,and it has positive significance for building a well-off society in an all-round way.Since the 1990 s,China’s green insurance has been in development for more than 20 years,but in fact it has been slow to develop and difficult.Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to conduct in-depth research on the problems existing in the development of green insurance,propose solutions and promote the development of green insurance.This paper mainly includes the following contents: Firstly,it expounds the functions and characteristics of green development mode,green finance and green insurance.Secondly,it analyzes the development of green insurance in Shanxi,Jiangxi,Yunnan and Hebei provinces,and summarizes the development of green insurance in China.The third analysis summarizes the successful experiences of other countries in developing environmental pollution liability insurance,and draws inspirations for China.Finally,the following suggestions are proposed in combination with the actual situation in China: improve the existing insurance law and environmental law as soon as possible,and green insurance the relevant provisions are refined and a one-line law on green insurance is formulated;governments at all levels should enhance their own understanding,increase publicity and guidance;adopt a green insurance development model that is compulsory and supplemented by arbitrariness;innovate large insurance products and expand the coverage of green insurance.
