In recent years,China's rapid economic growth has brought vitality to enterprises.The further expansion of the scale of the organization has made the gap in the status of the organization even more disparate.In this context,when it comes to high status,people often associates social wealth,material and psychological advantages with status.Due to the incentive effect of status,high-status employees tend to have higher performance than low-status people and show more consciousness or goal commitments;but studies have shown that status also can cause more deviant workplace behaviors such as passive work.The influence of organizational status on employees behavior and attitude is closely related to the sense of power,and this relationship is influenced by personal characteristics.Therefore,in the study we tried to find out the relation between employees' organizational status and attitudes and behaviors,as well as its internal and marginal conditions.Specifically,we discussed the influence of employee organizational status on consciousness,goal commitment and passive work.The mediate role of the sense of power in the process of “employees' organizational status—attitude and behavior”,and self-monitoring's marginal effect in the process of sense of power.The data were collected adopting questionnaire survey method from731 employees who are civil servant or employee of enterprise and they all come from Shanghai,Zhengzhou.Results:(1)Compared with low organizational status employees,those with high organizational status will show more consciousness,less passive work and higher goal commitment.(2)The sense of power played a mediating role in the relation between organizational status and employee attitudes and behaviors.Specifically,the sense of power played a partial mediate role in the relation between organizational status and consciousness.The sense of power played a partial mediate role in the relation between organizational status and goal commitment.The sense of power played a mediate role in the relation between organizational status and passive work.(3)Self-monitoring moderated the relation between employee sense of power and consciousness.High self-monitoring enhances the positive impact of organizational status on consciousness.And high self-monitoring has no regulating effect on goal commitment and passive work.
