So far, even though the ancient period has gone through various stages, the relations between Vietnam and China are still close.Vietnam and China are joined by common mountains and rivers with similar political system and culture. As Chinese President Xi Jinping said in his speech at The National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam,"The Vietnamese and Chinese people drink from the same river, meet up with each other from dawn till dusk." The people of China and Vietnam have been living side by side with a way of mutual understanding and learning, jointly resisting foreign enemies and carrying out revitalization and prosperity. The traditional friendship between the two peoples has withstood the ups and downs of history and the constantly changing international situation, which is an important foundation and inexhaustible motivation for the development of bilateral relations."Since the normalization of relations between the two countries in 1991,cooperation in various fields has developed rapidly under the principle of friendship and mutual benefit. The cooperation between the two countries in various fields has continued to grow.In 2004,China has become Vietnam’s largest trading partner. In 2004,after Vietnam proposed "Two Corridors and One Ring",Vietnam and China accelerate the development of a new goal. The construction of "Two Corridors and One Ring" helps the trade between the two countries to be more developed, the border operation to be more convenient, and the conditions for tourism to be more favorable. Moreover,"Two Corridors and One Ring" has further strengthened political ties between the two countries and helped the two countries’ civil relations to be closer. In 2013,Chinese President Xi Jinping proposed a major initiative for the construction of the "The Belt and Road"(OBOR)and the core content of the "Five-Pronged Approach".In 2015,the two countries proposed to link the two strategies of Two Corridors and One Ring" and "The Belt and Road".The leaders of the two countries also emphasized the need to promote the connection of these two major strategies over and over. This study takes the connection of the two strategies of "Two Corridors and One Ring" and" The Belt and Road" as the research object, mainly from the perspective of interconnection and intercommunication.First of all,by reviewing the actual progress of the Two Corridors and One Ring" cooperation, this study explores the basis of the connection, and puts forward the necessity of connecting the strategies of "Two Corridors and One Ring" and”The Belt and Road" as well as the opportunities and challenges that Vietnam and China may experience under the cooperation of" The Belt and Road" framework. Finally, from the perspective of the "Five-Pronged Approach"-including political communication, facility connectivity, trade smooth, financial communication, and people’s wishes, etc.,this study explores how to promote the cooperation between Vietnam and China under the framework of the"The Belt and Road" then proposes related ideas and recommendations.
