Driven by the national "Out-going" strategy and the "One Belt And One Road" initiative,more and more Chinese Power Engineering companies engage in oversea engineering construction activities.The competition pattern and level of competition have changed a lot along with the increasing of oversea projects and the enhancement of projects internationalization.Many international engineering companies consider the localization of human resources as an important approach to reduce the cost and increase the work efficiency.It's a challenge to manage the employees scientifically and efficiently with different cultural,languages and background,especially upon foreign employees' compensation system,to attract,retain the employee with a reasonable cost.This is also a common subject in front of many companies that engaged in overseas engineering construction for promoting their internationalization process.The S company in this thesis is a large stated owned enterprise,which has been playing a leading role in the power construction industry.In recent years,as China's demographic dividend gradually become smaller,Labor costs rising,S company is using more and more foreign employees in overseas projects,but there are still many issues existing in foreign employees' compensation system,for example,for high-level of foreign employees,company is paying high salary,but the work efficiency of employee is not equivalent.It's difficult as well for this group to make the connections with performance appraisal system.For lower level of foreign employees,company does pay a low cost,but at the same time,the work efficiency of employees is difficult to get the expectation,additional training increased the cost of the company.This thesis is based on the compensation management theory,using the methods such as literature review and questionnaire survey,study the S company foreign employee compensation system,analyzing and find the problems of the compensation system,on the basis of the compensation system optimizing principles,putting forward reasonable and optimized supporting measures.In this thesis,taking S company compensation management of foreign employee as an example to explore new ideas and new methods in order to get some positive achievement in future.It will be a breakthrough and innovation in the field and will provide a good reference to concerned companies which involved in overseas project operations.
