Study On The Classification Of Development Modes Of The Taobao Village In China

After nearly ten years of development,rural e-commerce represented by the Taobao Village and the Taobao Town have shown tremendous influence in promoting peasants increase income,accelerating the revival of the traditional handicraft industry and promoting the governance and reconstruction of the urban administration system.According to the latest data for 2018,there are 3 202 Taobao Villages in China,a number and scale that has in fact become a spatial phenomenon that cannot be ignored,and the development of China's Taobao Village has also transited from the pursuit of scale growth to a new stage of differentiation and quality development.New phenomenon,new stage,adumbrative new demand,need new understanding.Based on this,this paper explores the classification of development modes of Taobao Village.Based on the connotation of Taobao Village,this paper classifies the development types of the existing the Taobao Village in China from two dimensions of spatial location and industrial economy.From the spatial perspective of urban-rural relations,the existing Taobao Villages in China can be divided into three categories:on the fringe of cities,on the urban suburb and independent development.From the perspective of main products and services,the existing Taobao Villages in China can be divided into three categories:farmers' trade,industry trade and pure trade.Explore analysis based on the above two perspectives,this paper constructed the "location-industry" two dimensional perspective classifying framework of the Taobao Village,get seven compound types as follows:?the agriculture-based Taobao Village on the urban suburb ?the agriculture-based Taobao Village developed independently ?industry-based Taobao Village on the fringe of cities ?the industry-based Taobao Village on the urban suburb ?the industry-based Taobao Village developed independently ?the pure trade-based Taobao Village on the fringe of cities ?the pure trade-based Taobao Village on the urban suburb.In this study reviews practices of typical representative Taobao Villages combining with representative cases and field researches.The chapters are arranged as follows:The first chapter is the introduction.The main content includes the research questions and significance,literature review on the Taobao Village and its classification research,and preliminary definition of the research ideas,main methods and research innovation points.The second chapter is a review of relevant theories on the classification and classification studies of the Taobao Village and the new construction of a comprehensive classification framework.In chapter 3 to chapter 5 of this paper,the comprehensive classification results of the Taobao Village are summarized and explained,focusing on the analysis of the Taobao Village on the urban edge,the Taobao Village on the urban outskirts,and the Taobao Village on independent development.Combined with the spatial relationship between urban and rural areas,the characteristics,development history and representative case studies of each type of the Taobao Village are analyzed in detail.The sixth chapter sorted out the main conclusions of the previous chapters,f ound out the deficiencies and application limitations of the research inorder to lay a foundation for further research in the future,provide a reference of cognitive dimension for the more targeted research follow-up and provide practical suggestions for the further development of the Taobao Village.Finally,this paper concludes that the spatial location has an important influence on the formation of all kinds of the Taobao Villages,and the specific effect is closely related to the energy level of the adjacent cities and towns which the Taobao Villages nearby.The development process of the independent development Taobao Village is completely driven by endogenous factors.In the beginning stage of rural electronic commerce,it will face great challenges,and the willingness of external expansion is generally not strong in the whole process of its development.Driven by the neighboring towns,the Taobao Villages have improved its public service facilities and shown a more independent,diversified and independent development paths.The influence of the cities on the adjacent Taobao Villages has a distinct duality.On the one hand,it provides development opportunities for the urban fringe Taobao Villages;on the other hand,it virtually restricts the development space of the Taobao Village,the specific situation needs to combine the region actual dialectical analysis.
