Over the past 40 years of reform and opening up,family business in China has developed rapidly,and the first generation of family business entrepreneurs have completed the original capital accumulation.With the withdrawal of the first generation of family entrepreneurs,the important problem that puzzles these families is the issue of intergenerational transmission.Due to the growth background and qualifications,the successor's authoritative inheritance still needs to be recognized by the company and the market.Research has focused more on creating new territory and political identity for successors.New Hope Liuhe,based on its own characteristics,has successfully completed successor's authority inheritance by taking strategic change as an important means of building authority.This paper takes the case of New Hope Liuhe as the research object,analyzes how its strategic change obtains legitimacy and authority in the process of intergenerational inheritance,and discusses the important role of strategic change in the process of building the authority of successors of family enterprises.The research summary and Enlightenment of this paper have certain popularization and application value,and can provide reference for other family enterprises to inherit from generation to generation.This paper analyzes the process of the inheritance of New Hope Liuhe and its intergenerational inheritance through literature analysis,case analysis and other research methods.It is found that authority plays an important role in the inheritance process of family enterprises.In the early stage of the inheritance,the successors still need to be recognized by all parties because of their personal ability and charm,which leads to lack of authority and poor market reaction.Therefore,in addition to inheriting jobs,family business successors should pay more attention to the cultivation of authority.In New Hope Liuhe,Liu Chang,the successor,acquired the legitimacy of position authority through the change of personnel structure and the arrangement of family internal relations.She gradually gained personal authority through the fulfillment of social responsibility,the promotion of organizational status,her contribution to the recruitment of talents and the attention and encouragement to the employees in the company.Legitimacy,she gradually gained the legitimacy of competency authority through the implementation of a two-pronged strategy and the creation of the Foundation Plan.The performance improvement of New Hope Liuhe and the good reaction of all parties in the market and the public investors indicate that the successor's path of building authority through strategic change is successful.The research of this paper can get the following enlightenment:Attaching importance to the role of strategic change in the process of building the authority of intergenerational inheritance,the development of family business heirs should be integrated into the enterprise strategy,and have a systematic management support and help.
