The issue of agriculture, rural areas and farmers("Three Agricultural Problems")has always been the focus of the party and the state. In recent years, with the strong support of the state, the rural area has been effectively improved, but the contradiction between urban and rural still exists. In order to further narrow the gap between urban and rural areas and improve the overall development level of the country, rural construction has become a long way to go.Since the 18th CPC National Congress formally proposed "beautiful China",the state has also issued relevant documents for many years, aiming to provide a strong policy guarantee for rural planning and construction.Since the 19th CPC National Congress, rural development has reached an unprecedented height. The Rural Revitalization Strategy emerged as the times require and put forward a new work goal for the construction of new socialist countryside. In general, the Rural Revitalization Strategy is the upgrading and continuation of the construction of new socialist countryside. It is a great blueprint for the future development of the countryside with the party and state leaders. It is intended to better solve the major problems such as uneven development between urban and rural areas, and make efforts to promote the rural industry revitalization, the talent revitalization, the culture revitalization, the ecology revitalization and the organization revitalization. To realize the great prospect of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects.Since the "12th five-year plan",Zhenjiang has put "Rural Revitalization" as an important idea in the construction of new rural areas, and has promoted it to a new level in the "13th five-year plan".After years of operation,Zhenjiang’s rural construction has achieved certain achievements, but in the actual process, due to the influence and restriction of many factors, there are still some shortcomings. This paper takes suburban agriculture as the starting point, and conducts research through literature review, comparative analysis,SWOT analysis and other methods.First of all,it defines rural revitalization and suburban agriculture and elaborates relevant basic theories. The paper summarizes the experience of rural construction at home and abroad, and introduces the basic geographical and humanistic characteristic of Zhenjiang.Secondly, the analysis on the characteristics of rural resources in the suburb of Zhenjiang shows that the rural labor culture is mainly at the level of junior middle school. The number of aged labors has risen.Per capita disposable income, living expenses, food expenses, cultural education and entertainment expenses of rural residents have increased rapidly.Agricultural land resources showed a slight decline.Rural planting resources, total planting area has not changed so much in recent years.Pig breeding has been greatly affected by the market. The number of sheep has continued to rise, and the number of poultries raising has declined slightly. The analysis of the agricultural output value of Zhenjiang suburb shows that the output value of planting industry accounts for more than half of the total.and there is a trend of continuous increase. The output value of aquaculture and aquaculture resources is stable, and the forestry is small. Finally,it combined theoretical analysis with practice.Suggestions are proposed by SWOT analysis and referring to excellent cases at home and abroad.(1)Encouraging multiple investment;(2)Strengthening investment supervision;(3)Optimizing industrial structure;(4)Scientific and reasonable planning;(5)Developing tourism agriculture;(6)Highlighting cultural characteristics;(7)Strengthening propaganda and introduction;(8)Cultivating the leading industry(9)Improving infrastructure(10)Improve public service.
