Analysis Of The Cost And Benefit Of Wheat Planting In Shanxi Province

As the second largest food crop,wheat’s economic benefits and its future development are closely related to the interests of wheat farmers and national food security.This article gives a detailed introduction to the situation of agricultural production in Shanxi Province,and analyzes the cost-benefit and its constituent factors during 2004-2013 to qualitatively assess the changes in cost-benefit.The results show:(1)The total cost per unit area of wheat in the national average and Shanxi province in 2004-2013 showed an increasing trend with a small difference.Among them,the average total wheat unit area costs in China and Shanxi reached the highest in 2013,which were 13720.65 yuan/hm2 and 14313.9 yuan/hm2 respectively;the seed cost,fertilizer cost,and pesticide cost per unit area increased with time.The average unit area cost of wheat in the country is higher than that of Shanxi;the indirect cost is decreasing first and then increasing,and the fixed assets depreciation of Shanxi wheat in 2010-2013 is higher than the national average.In 2013,the national average and workers’ wages in Shanxi Province increased by 1,228.95 yuan/hm2 and 967.95 yuan/hm2 respectively,an increase of 311.1%and 240.3%over 2004 respectively.(2)The 2004-2013 national average and Shanxi province’s unit area output value of wheat increased slowly,while net profit continued to decline over time and Shanxi Province’s net profit fell sharply.The cash income from the nation’s wheat increased slowly,while the performance of Shanxi Province showed a downward trend.In addition,the commodity rate during wheat cultivation has been on the rise as time goes by.(3)The total fertilizer input per unit area of wheat grown in the national average and Shanxi province from 2004 to 2013 showed an increasing trend,among which the national average nitrogen fertilizer,phosphate fertilizer,and potash fertilizer decreased overall,while the total application amount of compound fertilizer increased linearly;Shanxi Province showed that The input of nitrogen fertilizer and compound fertilizer increased.(4)Analysis of the cost of wheat in Shanxi province,the transformation of traditional agriculture to modern agriculture,should implement efficient and reasonable policy approach in order to achieve the strengthening of national agricultural policy support,while the mechanization of planting,changing wheat varieties,the use of emerging technology products and agricultural products combined technology,To reduce the cost of wheat planting process investment;China’s food subsidies to improve the mechanism of wheat sales market,the level of industrial management is also an effective way to increase the income of wheat farmers,the two complement each other,so as to promote the sustainable development of wheat production in Shanxi province.
