Evolution Of Spatial Pattern And Influencing Factors Of Manufacturing Industries In Guangdong Province

Based on the research of two-digit manufacturing industry in 21 cities in Guangdong province,this paper divides manufacturing industry into labor-intensive manufacturing,capital-intensive manufacturing and technology-intensive manufacturing,while studying the whole manufacturing industry.On the one hand,use ESDA,the share analysis method and the center of gravity analysis to analysis the spatial distribution and dynamic transfer of manufacturing industry in Guangdong province;On the other hand,on the basis of previous econometric methods,the spatial panel regression model based on spatial distance matrix and spatial economic matrix is used to analyze the factors influencing of manufacturing industry in Guangdong province.According to the above analysis,the paper draws the following conclusions: 1)from 2006 to 2015 Guangdong province manufacturing industry is still mainly distributed in the Pearl River Delta area,and shows the center-periphery space pattern.Labor-intensive manufacturing industry appears the trend of diffusion from the Pearl River Delta to the periphery;and technology-intensive manufacturing industry appears the trend towards gradually spreading from gradually agglomeration;but the space change of capital-intensive manufacturing is not obvious;2)from 2006 to 2015,the changes of the spatial distributions of manufacturing industries in Guangdong province are different,the center of manufacturing in Guangdong province has been deviating from the geographical centre of Guangdong province,and since the implementation of industrial transfer policy in Guangdong province,the focus of labor-intensive manufacturing industry has changed the most obviously,and second is technology-intensive manufacturing industry,the change of center of gravity of capital-intensive manufacturing industry is the smallest;3)agglomeration externality and market scale have remarkable influence on the spatial distribution of manufacturing industries;labor productivity and production cost have significant influence on the spatial distribution of labor-intensive manufacturing industry;labor productivity,the transportation conditions and the foreign investment have significant influence on the spatial distribution of capital-intensive industries,and the agglomeration externalities and market scale results are more obviously affecting the technology-intensive manufacturing industry than others.By studying the spatial distribution and dynamic evolution of manufacturing industry in Guangdong province,this paper describes the general law of manufacturing space distribution and the quantitative analysis of the influence factors of manufacturing space distribution,which provides realistic basis and theoretical basis for the development of Guangdong’s manufacturing space structure adjustment and policy.
