An Empirical Study On The Impact Of Regional Informatization On Manufacturing Agglomeration

With the continuous progress of economy and society,information technology has been rapidly developed and widely used.Information has gradually become an important production factor for economic and social development.It has a profound impact on all aspects of the economy and society.The drive of information technology is the regional economy.The development provides a steady stream of momentum.Industrial agglomeration can effectively promote the division of labor,optimize the allocation of factors,and promote the development of regional economy.Manufacturing agglomeration has a supporting role in regional economic development.Therefore,it is necessary to study the influence of regional informatization on the agglomeration of manufacturing industry in China.This paper analyzes the influence of regional informatization on manufacturing agglomeration from the three mechanisms of human capital,transaction costs and technology upgrading.In the empirical part,this paper calculates the average concentration degree of manufacturing industry and information society index in 21 provinces,4 municipalities directly under the Central Government,and 3 autonomous regions,and establishes a panel data model to test the impact of regional informationization on manufacturing agglomeration.The regression results indicate that There is a significant inverted "U" relationship between regional informationization and manufacturing agglomeration.This article also returns to the20 industries of the manufacturing industry.The results show that the regional information industry has a significant impact on manufacturing agglomeration.The industries are textiles,textiles,garments,shoes,hat manufacturing,petroleum processing,coking and nuclear fuel processing,and chemical raw materials.And chemical products manufacturing,pharmaceutical manufacturing,general equipment manufacturing,transportation equipment manufacturing,electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing,computer,communications and other electronic equipment manufacturing,instrumentation and cultural office supplies manufacturing industry in these 10 industries.In addition,the paper also grouped the eastern,central and western regions of China respectively,and the results show that informationization has a significant impact on manufacturing concentration in the central region.On the basis of empirical analysis,this paper believes that there are still three aspects that need to be further strengthened: to strengthen the construction of information infrastructure and the training of professionals,to upgrade the level of information technology and the ability of social applications,and to give full play to the guiding and coordinating role of the government in informatization construction.To promote the construction of regional information,so that the manufacturing industry to achieve the optimal state of aggregation,and constantly promote the economic and social development and progress.
