An Empirical Study On The Impact Of Travel Restorative Experience On Employee Life Satisfaction

As a high-level spiritual demand activity,due to its relaxing tourism experience for consumers,tourism has attracted the attention and concern of various working groups.The improvement of economic conditions has enabled more Chinese citizens to conduct leisure and vacation activities.However,with the rapid development of science and technology,in China,the number of mental workers is increasing,therefore,the problem of low quality of life and low enthusiasm for work caused by pressure is also becoming increasingly serious.As a representative of Chinese new industry,convention and exhibition industry plays a significant role in promoting the development of related industries and economy,while at present,the quality of working conditions in the exhibition industry is not good enough,numerous employees complain about low wages,substantial working responsibilities and fast pace of work.Studying whether tourism could relieve exhibition employees' pressure,exploring whether tourism recovery experience could promote their life satisfaction is extremely meaningful.This study has put forward four dimensions of tourism recovery experience:psychological detachment from work,control,mastery and relax.Based on the Bottom-up Spillover Effect,Effort Recovery Theory,Conservation of Resources Theory and Goal Theory,the theoretical model framework between tourism recovery experience,trip satisfaction and life satisfaction were established.On the basis of foreign mature questionnaire,201 effective data were collected from the staff members of Guangzhou Convention and exhibition industry.The data' s reliability and validity have been tested and the hypothesis have been conformed respectively through SPSS and AMOS analytical software.Furthermore,the interrelationship between tourism recovery experience,trip satisfaction and life satisfaction as well as the effects of different demographic characteristics on the above three variables have been explored.Empirical research shows that relax is positively correlated with trip satisfaction,that psychological detachment from work,mastery,relax are positively correlated with life satisfaction,that trip satisfaction is positively correlated with life satisfaction.Different from the results obtained from foreign scholars in western culture,this study found that psychological detachment from work,control and mastery have very little effects on their trip satisfaction.By comparing the results of foreign scholars' research results,this study conjectured different attitudes of eastern and western employees toward the relationship between work and tourism,and it also put forward some suggestions and inspirations for Guangzhou exhibition industry staff,exhibition organization managers and tourism managers to optimize tourism satisfaction and life satisfaction.Finally,the shortcomings and prospects of this article were pointed out.
