The Second World War was not only a glorious turning point for British aviation industry,but also a beginning of rediscovery.Britain,which was the world paramount industry empire had brought together all the resources,and put into industrial production.People yearned for the so-called ' Made In Britain ' for a long time and it truly met the standard of people's highest expectations.However,as Britain underwent the gradual decline in the 20th century,and eventually lose it's dominance until the end of World War II.The effect made by "Made In Britain" evaporated,people began to favor "Made In USA".After the war,the British began to rebuild the country that had been torn apart by the fascists previously.The British government has recognised the future status of the aviation industry,it is therefore seen as a pillar of Britain's economic growth in the future.This paper focuses the timeline between 1945 and 1970 as the former represents the end of World War ? and the latter ushered in the establishment of Airbus.Which was specialized in designs,manufactures,and sells civil and military aeronautical products first ever in Europe.The development of the British aviation industry is a consistent thread running through all these 25 years.On one hand,the aviation industry from the post-war reconstruction to the European unitl 1970 and the government's influence on the aviation industry in this process as well as the promotion propelled by the main factors of the aviation industry so as to elicit the outline of the main factors of post-war aviation industry development among the international and domestic environment.On the other hand,a comparison between the development process of British aviation industry and other major countries in the post-war period will be conducted so that the position of British aviation industry in the world aviation industry can be outlined.Hopefully on the basis of the of orementioned parts,some inspirations and lessons for the development of aviation industry in China could be learned and follow our own path of aviation industry instead of avoiding the mistakes of British development.Apart from the introduction,the content are displayed as follows:The first chapter covers the development of British aviation industry from the early 20th century to the Second World War.Although Britain set up the aviation industry as one of the earliest country in the world,the development of british aviation industry stretching from the early 20th century to World War ? should be seen as a progressive course toward prosperity,the important of aviation industry for the future was first recognized from World War ?.The rearmament of interwar period,and reached to the climax in World War ?.Which facilitated the important role that British aviation industry played in the whole national industrial system.The second chapter mainly discusses the bumpy development process of aviation industry influenced by the government from the postwar to the early 1970s.After the World War ? to the period of the early 70s,which is an important period of reconstruction and explore of aviation industry,witnessed a ephemeral glory,the concussion of the defense policy,and redirection,the aviation industry has finally followed the specialization path on the basis of international cooperation.Chapter three discusses the main function sectors of aviation industry.It mainly includes the capital support of the industry,the change caused by the number of employees in the industry,the design and development level of the aviation industry,and the innovation and change measures of the industry.These elements are not only indispensable elements for the development of aviation industry,but also reflects the inseparable relationship between the state and aviation industry.The fourth chapter mainly deals with the level of aviation industry in the world aviation industry from the major countries and the status that,British aviation industry had.This section first describes the aviation level of the United States,the Soviet Union and Europe,which represented the overall level of the world aviation industry followed by a brief explanation of British aviation industry level and the relative competitors of its shortcomings;Finally,the lessons of British aviation industry is included.The post-war British aviation industry explore and development functions as the thread running through the whole process,demonstrating both the achievements and failures and the aviation industry and government,airlines,the relationship between the overseas competitors as well.The analysis of its main ablity elements is conducive to the conceptual change from independence to cooperation.In the process of European integration,redirection took place so as to realize the reinitiation of aviation industry in the era of globalization.
