Study On Planning Strategies Of Dire Dawa Special Economic Zone In Ethiopia Taking Example By China Model

In the context of economic globalization,One Belt And One Road and ChinaAfrica Cooperation,Africa has become the main direction of international production capacity transfer.Ethiopia,located in eastern Africa,is entering an important transition period from agricultural economy to industrial economy in order to cope with new forms of development and seize the development opportunities of international cooperation.In view of the current economic situation in Ethiopia,which is still in a backward stage,with weak industrial foundation,abundant labor force but high unemployment rate,the Ethiopian side urgently needs to get rid of the current situation of only scattered industrial concentration areas with the power of China's planning team,and establish a development zone that can bring together various factors of production and living factors,such as the special economic zone in China.In the face of this appeal,China planning team must fully understand the Ethiopia local actual conditions and the analysis of the applicability of the Chinese model,based on the principle of respect for other countries' national conditions,suitably and moderately introduce the Chinese model and put forward the special economic zone planning strategies suitable for the situation of Ethiopia.This paper first embarks from the Ethiopian national appeal,Ethiopia's national economic development present situation,and Ethiopia's trying to get rid of the economic laggard by establishing a special economic zone and put forward the idea of establishing special economic zone.Secondly,this paper makes an in-depth interpretation of the urban planning system and concept of Ethiopia,and understands that the urban planning of Ethiopia is deeply influenced by British planning ideas.Though Ethiopia has similar to our country level,but its planning method is a bottom-up,problem oriented,focus on solving national employment problem,it has a fundamental difference from China's emphasis on economic development and top-down,overall system planning in the previous stage.Thirdly,based on the above research,this paper analyzes the necessity of learning Chinese experience in Ethiopia and the universality of the Chinese model,and then analyzes the concrete embodiment of the Chines model in the concept of urban planning,the content of the compilation and the stage of development and implementation,and draws a conclusion of applicability of the China model to the urban planning of Ethiopia based on the comparative analysis of the two countries' national conditions and urban planning from the comparative analysis of the national conditions and urban planning of China and Ethiopia.Summary of applicability of Ethiopia urban planning.Based on the above analysis,this paper puts forward the planning strategies with the reference Chinese mode should be combined with the national conditions of Ethiopia,which can ultimately guide the practice of the construction of Dire Dawa Special Economic Zone in Ethiopia.
