| Banking is currently faced with complex operating situation,such as financial disintermediation,intensified competition,compression of credit scale,and increasing profit pressure.Some customers,industries and regional risks occur frequently.China’s GDP growth has started to decline since 2012,and the non-performing loan balance and non-performing loan ratio of commercial banks show a "double rise"trend in the face of the severe economic slowdown,credit assets quality control is under unprecedented pressure.Therefore,it is still an important task for all Banks to focus on improving the quality of assets and to control the rise of non-performing loan balance and non-performing loan ratio.Under this background,study more of state-controlled commercial Banks non-performing loan problems,find out and control the factors which are significant and hold the financial risk bottom line have a certain theoretical and practical significance.First of all,according to the summary of literature research on the factors of non-performing loans from the domestic and foreign scholars,this article takes state-owned commercial Banks as the research object and non-performing loan factors as the research target by taking C Branch as an example.On the basis of fully understand of the situation and development trend of state-owned commercial Banks non-performing loans,we analyze the quality of credit assets,characteristics and risk control problems of non-performing loans by taking C branch of a state-owned commercial bank in A city as an example,and explore the cause of non-performing loans from three aspects including macroeconomic factors,operation and management of commercial banks and borrower behaviors in order to find out the influencing factors of commercial bank bad loans and provide basis for the selection of relevant variables in empirical analysis.Secondly,according to the actual situation of C branch and theoretical analysis results,we select gross domestic product(GDP)growth rate,the broad money supply(M2)growth rate and the rate of inflation(CPI)as external variables,net interest margin(NIS),loans to total liabilities ratio(DFB)and bank asset size(SIZE)as internal variables,non-performing loan ratio(NPL)of C branch as explained variable from the fourth quarter of 2012 to the fourth quarter in 2017 by drawing lessons from domestic and foreign research.We build the multiple linear regression model and carry on the empirical research to analyze the influence degree to the non-performing loan ratio of C branch.The results show that the gross domestic product growth rate and loans to total liabilities ratio are most significant,the influence of the gross domestic product growth rate is negative;while the ratio of loans to total liabilities is positively correlated with the non-performing loan ratio of C branch.Finally,on the basis of theoretical analysis and empirical research and in view of the actual situation of C branch,we offer the resolve measures and suggestions which have important significance for improving the quality of C branch’s assets to prevent non-performing loans.It will also help instruct brother banks and other banking financial institutions to reduce financial risk and improve the internal risk control. |
