Agriculture and food production has been a long-term disadvantage in China. With sound agriculture and food production policies, the capacity of grain production can be improved and the problem of food production security can be solved. The No.1 document in Central Committee pointed out that the well-developed logistics industry and the modern comprehensive transportation system serve as crucial guarantees for the development of modern agriculture. At the same time, the 19th National Congress proposed that the transport infrastructure in rural areas must be fully complemented in the process of building a modem comprehensive transportation system. Therefore, the significance of handling a good relationship between transportation and agriculture plays a vital part in the development of modem agriculture in our country. The report of the 19th National Congress also put forward that the strategy of rejuvenating the countryside should be implemented and that agriculture, rural areas, and peasants should be the fundamental issues related to the national economy and the people's livelihood. The issue of solving the "three rural issues" must always be the top priority of the work of the whole Party.Qinba mountain area and Liupan mountain area are included in the fourteen contiguouslypoor areas in China,in which the development of economy and transportation infrastructure are relatively backward. The issue of agricultural development has become an urgent problem to be solved. The rational development of agriculture and transportation infrastructure are the key to solve the "three rural issues"in Qinba and Liupan mountain area. Therefore, the impact that the transportation accessibility of Qinbaand Liupanshan mountain areas exerts on the of agricultural production output in these areas will be explored in this thesis, which will provide a scientific basis for the development of transportation in the poverty-stricken areas.Based on the road traffic network data of 2000,2005,2010 and 2015,the author in this thesis employs ArcGIS 10.0 software to analyze the spatial pattern of non-hierarchical transport accessibility and agricultural output in Qinba and Liupan mountain areas. Then, the the least squares model(OLS)is adopted to quantitatively analyze the impact that transport accessibility of poor mountain areas exerts on agricultural output.Besides, the comparison between the impact of transport accessibility on agricultural output in the two areas is made. The main conclusion of the study are shown as follows:Firstly, due to the influence of the surrounding prefecture-level cities' economic radiation, land transport accessibility and highway accessibility to prefectural-level cities in the Qinba mountain area are spatially characterized by "superiority in the central and the northeast areas, inferior position in the northwest and the southeast areas".Railway transport accessibility shows centre-periphery.Due to the spatial influence of the attractiveness and economic development of cities such as the prefecture-level cities located at a relatively long-distance location and Xi'an and Baoji located in the southeast corner of the city, land transport accessibility and highway accessibility to prefectural-level cities in the Liupan mountain area are spatially characterized by "superiority in the central and the southeast areas, inferior position in the west and the north areas".Transportation accessibility is excellent in areas close to the traffic trunk roads, poor accessibility is found in more distant areas, and there is no obvious pattern of railway accessibility, which may be related to the law of no obvious distribution of townships.Secondly, land transport accessibility in Qinba mountain area and Liupan mountain area has a significant impact on local agricultural output.Land transport accessibility in different regions has significant difference in the effect of agricultural output. With the continuous improvement of land transport accessibility,Qinba mountain area and Liupan mountain area have increased their impact on agricultural output.Thirdly, the accessibility of different levels of highways in different regions has significant differences in the effects of agricultural output.(1)The highways accessibility to the prefecture-level cities in Qinba mountain area has the greatest impact on agricultural output, the highways accessibility to the counties has the second highest impact on the agricultural output, and the highways accessibility to the township has the minimal impact on the agricultural output.(2)The highways accessibility to the prefecture-level cities in Liupan mountain area has the greatest impact on agricultural output, the highways accessibility to the townships has the second highest impact on the agricultural output, and the highways accessibility to the counties has the minimal impact on the agricultural output.Fourthly, the impact of agricultural output that the accessibility of railways at different levels in different regions has exerted are shown distinctively.(1)The impact of railway accessibility on the agricultural output of the Qinba mountain area to the prefecture-level cities fluctuates. In 2010,its impact is less than that of railway accessibility on the agricultural output of the railway accessibility to the county, while in 2015 it shows conversely.(2)The impact of railway accessibility on the agricultural output of the Liupan mountain area to the county is notably greater than its impact on prefecture-level cities and township.
