National Decision-making Behavior From The Perspective Of Dynamic Game

The international community is undergoing extensive and profound changes.The complexity of the contemporary international society is far beyond any time in the past.However,mainstream theories on international relations have many unsatisfactory points in interpreting international issues,and also they are not adapted to the profound changes of the international community.Game theory,as a mature research method of economics,has been successfully introduced into studies of international politics in the last century,and has achieved many breakthrough results.The huge changes brought by game theory to international political research deserve our attention and continuous research.For this reason,this paper attempts to view and analyze international phenomena from the perspective of the dynamic game theory,and introduces complete and perfect information dynamic game and incomplete information dynamic game to further explore international issues.The characteristics of dynamic game theory are in line with international politics.Whether it is interactive decision-making between countries,international anarchy,or international institutional arrangements,these notable international phenomena can be properly explained by dynamic game theory.Therefore,based on the mainstream theories on international relations,this paper regards the game theory as a rigorous analysis method.Through the analysis of the dispute over the U.S.military bases in Okinawa of Japan and the breakdown of the relationship between the U.S.and New Zealand alliance,it is believed that dynamic game theory can be used to explain some international issues with reasonable persuasion.It can provide an explanation different from the mainstream theories on international relations,and this explanation can stand the test.At the same time,the complete information dynamic game and the incomplete information dynamic game fully reflect the nature of some international issues.Such issues as why the state takes certain actions,how to act,when to act can be placed in the dynamic games of complete information and incomplete information,which helps us to understand and predict international issues.The application of dynamic games in international politics deserves our in-depth discussion.
