With the development of knowledge economy era,deepening the mechanism of cooperation and adhering to sharing and win-win cooperation has become new direction on urban development nowadays.In recent years,cooperative innovation in the economic,political,cultural,scientific and technological aspects among cities have emerged gradually,in the course of development new models have been explored and it has gotten primary achievements,which thus make the development of inter-city cooperative innovation into a new stage.As the cooperation between cities in various fields has become more and more frequent,the ways,characteristics,and impacts of innovative collaboration have attracted so many scholars' attention.Inter-city patent cooperation is one of the urban innovative cooperation methods.Compared with other products,it has so many distinct characteristics such as large amount of data,real-time,accuracy and availability and can fully reflect the degree of technical innovative research and development of a country or region,therefore it is reliable data to reveal the space of urban innovative network.Taking 46 cities in China as the research object,the paper builds the connectivity of innovative network between cities and the linkages of urban external innovation using patent cooperation data among cities,and explores space characteristic of urban network in China by the application of GIS.The result shows:the urban innovative network and geographical entity space exist differences,and the linkages of external innovation is not entirely related to the city innovative capacity and the level of economy development.However,urban innovative network and geographical entity space are similar in hierarchical clustering.They have both formed Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei,Yangtze River Delta,Pearl River Delta three metropolitan areas and Beijing-Shenzhen-Shanghai-Hangzhou four core cities,which lead the development of innovative network in China.On the basis of revealing the characteristics of external network,this paper uses the method of correlation analysis to the influence of factors such as population differentiation,economic development,environmental support,science and technology development,and distance between cities on inter-city cooperative innovation network and then reveals the intrinsic mechanism of the formation about innovation cooperation network.The study found:the traditional factors such as the number of employees in education and scientific research,the number of innovation popularization,the indicators of regional industry and economic development,the government's investment in innovation and development and the distance between cities have significant influence on the innovative cooperation network.The number of traffic flow,infrastructure penetration,air quality,environmental governance,the number of patent cooperation,the number of scientific and technological papers,the number of broadcasts and film and television programs about science and technology,the promotion of scientific and technological cooperation projects,all these new emerging elements also have significant impact on innovation cooperation network.In the future,we need to further strengthen strive to increase the development of relevant factors and strive to increase the number of inter-city cooperative innovation network nodes,enhance the connection between nodes and fully optimize the structure of network while promoting the development of the cities themselves.This article is divided into six chapters to elaborate:The first chapter is the introduction.This part introduces the research background and research significance of the paper,elaborates the research ideas,framework and innovative points in detail.The second chapter is the relevant research summary and theoretical basis.This part sorts out and summarizes some correlated domestic and overseas researching results and deeply understands related theories,which pave the way for the later empirical research.The third chapter is research design.This part introduces the research object and scope of the study and expounds the methods of data's acquisition and handling and the method of empirical research.The fourth chapter is the analysis of the characteristics of the cyberspace.This part uses urban network analysis method and GIS spatial analysis method to analysis the basic characteristics of the urban intensity of innovative connection and the characteristics of innovative cooperation network from the aspects of macro,meso,and micro based on the number of patent cooperation between cities.The fifth chapter is the study of the network formation mechanism.Through the analysis of the interrelationship between the connectivity of innovative network and the cities' own attributes,this part reveals the intrinsic mechanism of the formation of urban innovative cooperation network,which provides some guidelines for the development of urban innovative cooperation.The sixth chapter is the research conclusion and discussion.This part summarizes the content of the article and proposes some feasibility suggestions,pointing out the deficiencies of the article and looking into the direction of future research and development about urban innovative cooperation network.The whole thesis contains about 42 000 words,25pictures and charts.
