Research On The Characteristics And Causes Of EU Trade Frictions With China

Since the establishment of diplomatic relation between China and the EU,economic and trade relations have continued to develop.By 2011,the EU and China have already been each other's largest trading partners.At the same time,as the scale of trade continues to expand,the EU's trade deficit with China is also expanding.This has had some negative effects on the smooth development of EU-China trade.Trade frictions and disputes have increased year by year.The EU's trade barriers with China presents a growing trend,and this situation is not good for the further development of bilateral trade between Europe and China and must be actively solved by reasonable solutions.In-depth study on EU trade friction with China have important theoretical and practical significance.This paper adopts a combination of theoretical analysis and case study analysis,uses statistical data,and through logical reasoning,analyzes the characteristics and causes of the EU trade friction with China,and proposes countermeasures to resolve trade frictions.This article thinks that the characteristics of EU trade friction with China can be summarized from two aspects:generality and individuality.The characteristics of commonness are:the forms of trade frictions are diversified;the number,scope,and scope of trade frictions are expanding;the process of settlements in trade frictions are complex and need a long period and the hidden nature of trade frictions have increased.The characteristics of individuality are:the EU take the leading position in trade frictions;the trade protection effects of trade frictions are limited;the explosive growth of friction events;and the litigation with political allies shows a heckling trend in trade frictionThe causes of trade frictions from the perspective of the EU:there has always been a large trade deficit;China's "offensive" in the trade rules;China's low-cost competitive advantage of products has caused damage to related industries.From the perspective of China,the data on trade deficits are falsified;the EU has not fully complied with the trade agreement;the EU tend to transfer its internal contradictions outside;and there are a series of problems of the imbalance in China's foreign trade.The basic reasons are:the slow economic recovery in various countries leads to the rise of trade protectionism;the politicization of trade frictions;and the new trend of "China threat theory".This paper proposes countermeasures against three characteristics and causes of trade frictions from the three levels of government,industry associations and enterprises.For the research of this topic,this paper is divided into five parts:the first chapter is the introduction;the second chapter is the theoretical foundation and current research status of trade friction;the third chapter is the analysis of the characteristics and impact of the EU trade friction with China;the fourth chapter is the cause analysis of EU's trade friction with China.;chapter 5 contains countermeasures.
