The Developing Experience And Trend Of B&B Industry In Taiwan And Its Inspiration To Yunnan

In recent years,as the mass tourism has gradually changed its form from the traditional sightseeing tour to recreational tour in China,along with the upgrading of the consumption structure,consumers' demand for tourism accommodation tends to be more and more various.B&B,as the representative of non-standard accommodation industry,standing in the forefront of the tourism industry,becomes more and more popular,especially in Yunnan,where has the largest number of B&B in China.Although B&B industry develops faster and faster,it is still in the wilderness of supervision system.The related management issues constantly emerged in the past few years and are waiting to be solved.However,in Taiwan,B&B has developed for above 30 years.Its legal regulations,social environment and management principle have been more completed and advanced.In this paper,at first,a research about B&B industry in Taiwan including its origin,development process,increase in quantity and types is made by collecting related documents and literature,and followed by a deep fieldwork in Taiwan and interviews with above ten B&B owners,who tell their entrepreneurial process and management experience in detail,which offers abundant information for theoretical research.On these bases,the developing experience and trend of B&B industry in Taiwan are summarized.On the other hand,the advantages of developing B&B in Taiwan and Yunnan are analyzed to show that Taiwan and Yunnan B&B industry share some commons in tourism industry development stage,degree of support in policy,tourism resource and customers market.The comparison between them also demonstrates that there are some differences on regulations,product positioning and types,service quality,marketing methods,communication between host and guest,environment protection and culture inheritance.Therefore,Taiwan's experience can inspire Yunnan B&B industry from these aspects.At last,some proper advice is provided to motivate B&B industry in Yunnan to develop in a health and well-organized way.
