Since the state Council canceled the geographical and customer restrictions of RMB business in foreign banks in November 2006.after more than 30 years of development,foreign banks have made great progress in China,has become a very important force in the financial industry and play an important role in the development of China's economy.Especially with the implementation of the strategy of" belt along the road "," Yangtze river economic belt "," coordinated development of Beijing,Tianjin and Hebei",foreign banks ushered in a new opportunity in the development of China.This paper mainly studies the location choice of foreign banks in China,and what impact factors affect the location choice of foreign banks in China and the impact of these factors on the location choice of foreign banks.Firstly,this paper analyzes the documents and theories of foreign banks location selection in China,then describes the location choice of foreign banks in China,including the development of foreign banks in China,multinational operation status,location distribution,and based on the dimensions of foreign banks.Through the construction of theoretical framework,the research hypothesis,based on the panel data of 24 variables of 27 provincial regions in China from 2005 to 2015.empirically analyzes the influencing factors of the location choice of foreign banks in China.The results show that:regional marketization,regional preferential policy,regional industrial structure,regional urbanization level,regional human capital,regional trade level,regional financial environment,regional financial environment,regional communication infrastructure,regional communication infrastructure,regional investment scale,regional innovation ability,regional salary level are the most important influencing factors.
