Study On The Influencing Factors Of The Location Choice Of China’s Outward Foreign Direct Investment

Since the implementation of the "going out" strategy,the number of China’s foreign direct investment enterprises has been increasing quickly.In 2014,global foreign direct investment flows came to $1350 billion,the stock was $25870 billion.China OFDI flows reached $123 billion in 2014,which still ranked 3.The rapid development of China’s OFDI has aroused many researches,so the location selection problem is still significant.Now the world economy presents a certain uncertainty and instability,which requires us to analyze the influencing factors of China’s OFDI location carefully.So we think it is necessary to study the location choice with space effect in the systematic way so that we can provide helpful suggestions for China enterprises to go out.This paper first reviews and summarizes the current development stage and situation of Chinese foreign direct investment.According to the situation of the OFDI policy and growth,it is divided into four stages:the limited investment stage,the initial stage of development,slow development stage and rapid development stage.Then under traditional theories of OFDI location choice,we carried out a comprehensive analysis and using thoughts of the system theory to analyze the factors,on the basis of former analysis,we brought out OFDI location influences.In empirical research,this paper selects data from 2003 to 2014 with 55 host countries.With the perspective of spatial review,combined with the enterprise’s investment motivation on location choice of OFDI,we made the empirical study.Through the spatial panel data analysis,China OFDI location choice has the "space effect";we also analyzed the differences of different style countries,after that we put forward some relevant policy suggestions.
